I thought it might be quite fun to start a dedicated Spotify playlist for collating some of the magical tunes I love playing in my sets. It's a simple and easy way to showcase the legends as well as some of the lesser known artists I'm into lately. I've added in a bunch and will continue to add in more - new and old - each month.

I am EVER so excited to be playing this rad-ass daytime rooftop party in San Francisco this Sunday and I don't think I've been this excited about playing a show in a long time. I've found hundreds of incredible new tracks in these past few days and I can't wait to use them to get your tail feathers shaking for two hours straight!
Make sure you dress to impress, I know I will be
Here’s the track list to the April edition of my monthly mixtapes. While I’m still very much entranced by the world of percussion, I feel that I’m beginning another one of my shifts in inspiration. My tastes are shifting more towards soul, funk and jazz sounds - albeit still atop a bed of organic and empowering drums and percussion. I’m even finding myself reaching for tracks that are downright happy - something that I wouldn’t have imagined myself doing a year ago. You can also have a listen to the two new tracks i’m putting out on GLITTER COWBOY this Friday - which i’m sure you can hear a difference between and my previous releases on the label. Happy Monday
I’ve just uploaded my April mixtape. All three of my housemates went away a couple of weeks ago, leaving me all alone on the mountain. At first, I felt a little daunted by the concept of being totally by myself, but within a couple of days, I found that the drive to create and put in place plans grew immense. I started and finished a lot of very exciting new musical ideas and discovered and explored a whole manner of new processes and techniques. I also managed to instil a ve...ry calming routine upon my life when I was done working, which revolved mostly around going for walks and cooking. I tried a few days of silence, where I forgot the sound of my own voice and a day of chattering non stop about whatever would choose to come out of my mouth. My point is, I guess, to try not to feel afraid of time alone. You can learn a lot from yourself if you just give yourself a chance.
Excited to announce ‘I Won’t Change For You’ - my next EP on GLITTER COWBOY out 13th April. The two tracks on this one are a little different sounding to my previous releases - taking on a far more dusty and nostalgic sound, as if they’d been dug up off some old vinyl in your parent’s attic. There’ll be Rhodes and flutes, fishermen talking, a waterfall and even some waterfowl. I’m really happy with this one!
A big part of how I built up my fanbase in the early days was giving all of my original music away for free. There was something so exciting about making something I liked and then immediately uploading it for the world to own. It felt ever so natural and new music would constantly spout out of me like weeds in an untended garden. I believe in creating for the sake of my own and others enjoyment - not profit.
Anyways, it's been a long time since I've given a track away and it... seems quite a few of you were asking about what this track was in my recent When We Dip radio mix, so here you are. The link will be in the comments below.
I recorded this track with my housemate Carmen Vandenberg; an incredible guitarist who has played with some of the greatest musicians alive and who I've featured on a number of my tracks over the past year. I'm honoured to have her around to impart some consistently beautiful emotion into my works. I have a number of other songs that will be coming out soon that feature her in a really eclectic mix of moods and I can safely say I'm sure you'll love them!
I hope your weekend is filled with life ❤
P.S. I took this photo at an outdoor laundry in Fort Kochi, Southern India. This man works six days a week hanging out the washing of the countless families in the nearby areas. The skill and teamwork involved in the collection of, washing, drying, ironing and then returning the washing is astounding. The man is wearing a Dhoti, a traditional skirt-like number that can be raised and tied up into something resembling bunched up short shorts.
This is 'Ventura' - the first track from my new GLITTER COWBOY EP 'In The Company of Others'. As I'm sure you can tell, over the past year or so I've been really inspired by and tending toward sounds from around the world - with a particular love for percussive rhythms. There's something about loose, organic drums and percussion that fans the flames of my soul that I can't quite express. This EP was heavily inspired by my time in India this past December - where I fell in lov...e with the wonders of Hindustani and Carnatic classical music. You'll be able to hear various ambiences in it that I recorded around India - from birds, to voices, to the sound of the wind.
I feel that this song is experienced best stood open armed on top of a big mountain while screaming to the world that you exist.
You're alive - for now.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'm releasing my next EP 'In The Company of Others' on GLITTER COWBOY this Monday!
I made this EP at a pivotal moment in my life; during deciding whether to stay in LA or move back to Europe. Unsure about how to proceed, I'd made these two tracks and named them in memory of my nearest big cross streets for the past year; 'Ventura' and 'Laurel Canyon'. Flash forward a month and I've decided to commit to staying in LA. I'm living with some of the m...ost wonderful and inspiring people I know and weirdly enough - as if the track title foreshadowed what would happen once I decided to stay - we've just moved to Laurel Canyon!
I'm feeling so inspired, life is beautiful and I can't wait for you to hear what I've got lined up for you over the next few months.
I'm live on IBIZA SONICA RADIO!
Having grown up in Mallorca, listening to IBIZA SONICA RADIO, it's a real honour to announce that I've done a guest mix of almost entirely original material (including a couple of unreleased tracks) for When We Dip that'll be being broadcast live on the air (92.4FM in the Balearic Islands) and on their website 6PM CET this Friday.
For the entirety of my career up until now, I think I feared playing my own songs in sets and mixes because I felt they were inadequate when compa...red to what inspired me. I spent so much time trying NOT to listen to electronic music that I developed a void in between what I loved to listen to and what I loved to make. It's only natural to view your work as 'lesser' when comparing house music to the Motown greats. That being said, lately I feel that I've found it in myself to let go and see what I do for what it is - and what it isn't - in turn taking the pressure off for me to live up to these impossible standards that I've set for myself and focus on creating for the love of it.
After finishing this mix I sat in the sunshine and mindfully listened through with a loose ear and an open heart, and I'm happy to say that I AM PROUD of the music I make and that I will do everything I can to continue living a life dedicated to the creation of things I love.
Love your work and take pride in the things you made from the heart.
Woah! Sound Nightclub was insane last night. Big love to everyone who came and danced their asses off. I had such a blast playing for you all and hadn’t felt such a deep connection to a crowd in as long as I can remember. You’re all a bunch of wonderful weirdos. So happy to live in LA!
Thank you ❤️
Here's an eclectic little mix I put together as the first of a series that I'll be uploading on the first of every month. Expect all manner of groovy and melodic tunes you can't help but dance like a fool to.
I hope you enjoy listening to it as much I did making it for you.
