Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary is an amazing place run by wonderful people....
It is with great sadness that we heard today of the passing of Janine Nepgen who, together with her partner, Sharon Spicer, rescued not one but two pigs, Rosie ...and Flippie, who are now, because of these two amazing ladies, living the life at the sanctuary. Thank you Janine, for your huge and compassionate heart, for doing so much for animals. We will remember you everyday when Flippie and Rosie keel over for their tummy tickles. Lots of love to Sharon xxxx
TUFCAT lost an animal angel last week....

Rest easy my special friend - To live in the hearts of others is nev...er to die – fly away Janine, may your soul rest in peace.
You were too great to ever be forgotten - I will never forget you xx
CAN ANYONE HELP A HUMAN BEING IN NEED?
I am posting an appeal on behalf of Des, an animal rescuer in Gauteng who has found herself in a situation no one would like to be in..ever. Des is a pensioner with limited means and she has nowhere to live from tomorrow. She has already been through the heartache of having to give up her beloved cats - one of which is
Romeo (currently at Woodrock and just not coping with life)... Is there anyone out there with any kind of accommodation to help prevent Des ending up on the street. If you can help in any way, even if temporary, please inbox me. Thanks Sharyn - firstname.lastname@example.org
UPDATE: CANINE FAMILY - they are on their way to their foster home...please network and share so we can find these poor dogs homes....
Thank you to everyone who has pulled together to help the canine family currently at Villiersdorp vet. Thank you Denise Peters for helping with their boarding and getting them to the vet in the first place. Thank you also to Sanjula Pather and Samantha Reid for paying for the animal transport agency to move them to their foster home tomorrow. ...Thank you to Kayleigh Roos for being willing to collect them from Grabouw and Jurika Sass for fostering them. We now need to place them in permanent and loving homes. When i think of what a terrible fate awaited them I shudder and am so grateful we were collectively able to stop an act of animal cruelty.

UPDATE: ROMEO HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND HAS SETTLED IN ERY WELL!
Gauteng - can anyone help poor Romeo please!
ROMEO IS PETRIFIED … never seen, never heard! We are worried! It has been almost 3 months now that he was collected from very unsuitable circumstances togethe...r with 3 other senior cats. One of his friends were adopted and the other two are really sociable and visible in the cattery but since he arrived, Romeo has been in hiding. It rips our hearts open because he is battling to adjust to a shelter environment and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. He is around 8 years old. If you feel that you can bring this boy out of his shell and give him a safe environment where he can flourish, please, please, offer him a home. Romeo is really taking strain. Contact Karin +27 (82) 682-7262 for more info.

LAST ATTEMPT TO TRY SAVE DOG'S LIVES....
Looking for lift from Villiersdorp to Grabouw (or Cape Town) for canine family - mom, dad and little puppy.
So far, I have had offer of lift from Peregrine Farmstall in Grabouw at 5h30 on Friday so if anyone can drive them there from Villiersdorp would be great.
I rescued this family from a local farm on Tuesday when heard they were unwanted and about to be fed poison (happens a lot out here). I had a lift organised as well as a foster home. But when we fetched the dogs we could not reach the foster home and did not know how to get to her place so the lift left the dogs at the local vet where they are currently being boarded. They can only stay till Friday and thereafter they will be put to sleep. Please is there anyone who would collect them and take them through to Cape Town to save their lives. If you can help, please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org. thanks!!!!!
Just asked vet to take photos so will post them soonest...
