If you want to know whether or not our youth has been indoctrinated by the public school system, this may help you decide.
This "guide" to discovering your "political philosophy" quiz was administered to NC teens back in 2008....
According to The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) (20 U.S.C. 1232h; 34 CFR Part 98), which applies to programs that receive funding from the U.S. Department of Education (ED), the PPRA is to ensure the "schools and contractors make INSTRUCTIONAL materials available for inspection by parents" and "obtain WRITTEN parental consent before minor students are required to participate in any ED-funded survey, analysis, or evaluation that reveals information concerning the listed items below.
I've never once, as a parent been asked to provide written consent, and most certainly have saved hard copies of quizzes and evaluations that have been done in violation of this federal law.
The quiz in this link is on example of such a violation that has resulted in a population of children who now believe themselves to be liberals, thanks to leftist indoctrination tactics.
In the quiz, if your child prefers to live in an apartment, rather than a brick ranch style, he/she is a liberal; if he/she thinks it's important to have an inquisitive mind, he/she is liberal; if your child prefers a vacation in Las Vegas, instead of touring a civil war battlefield, he/she is liberal.
This leftist indoctrination has been swiftly, and quietly been taking place under our noses, while officials have violated the PPRA -federal law.
I don't ask you if I believe a word I say. I ask you to READ for yourself. You be the judge. YOU decide.
It's past time to take action against a government that's out of control with Hitleresque maneuvering to capture kids and use them as pawns for their own agendas.
Want to know if the public education system has been depriving our children of their rights?
I chose to write that I refuse to sign because it violates my child's constitutional rights (IV).
What say you?
2008 school quiz on political affiliation asks if you are generally an optimist or a pessimist (#47).
According to this public school administered quiz, if an individual answers pessimist, he/she is conservative; if the answer is optimist, he/she is liberal.
Just one of the incredible questions asked to help a child know what he should call himself (and register to vote as?)....
This is most likely the reason for the current uprising.
Sit back. Do nothing. Watch a revolution and civil war take place.
I'm not an advocate of "sitting out" of school, but I AM an advocate of parents knowing what's being taught. Read for yourselves. Know. Think.
For the record, I love people of all races and sexual orientation.
I do believe parents need to have real input about the curriculum....
He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future. Adolf Hitler
May they never be owned, but guided by wisdom, from good books, from history, and by our good and decent elders.
Just for the record, on April 4th, I did say it was "nice" to see students peacefully take a stand, as some students walked out holding the American flag in support of the second amendment.
Critics have cited today's post as a contradiction in points of view when, in fact, it is an evolution of thinking, based on the rise in violence associated with student walk outs.
What initially seemed to be an acceptable time for grieving has turned into an agenda-riven series of prote...sts.
Videos of students tearing down the American flag, vandalizing vehicles, assaulting officers, riotous looting, and other volatile activity - all during student walk outs, should be a huge red flag to the Department of Education.
Across America, students are not merely walking outside in remembrance; they are protesting.
"What do we want? GUN CONTROL! When do we want it? Now."
Clearly, the focus has shifted from the fallen to a demonstration, an uprising that is actually creating a more dangerous space than a safe one.
The DOE should cease approval for any school activity, so controversial as to incite riotous behaviors and totally interrupt the education process, as the recent gun protests have.
I believe every citizen should be able to exercise their freedom of speech, but peacefully and within the boundaries of law.
Public schools must not be allowed as tools for political agendas.
Imagine if every group of students with an agenda, say students for repeal of marijuana laws, students against abortion, students for gay rights - just imagine if a different group is permitted a "walkout" each day. Education would be totally disrupted.
We must call for immediate action at state level to forbid walkouts, as they are a disruption of the education process, all at tax payer's expense....
If schools wish to honor the deaths of students, it would be appropriate to make an announcement for all teaching to pause for 60 seconds of honor and remembrance.
These tax payer funded "nearly riots" must cease immediately.
Contact your representatives to demand an end to this unauthorized (by the citizens) abuse of our money.
The real root of many problems with our beautiful young adults, and society, in general, is government's requirement for children to conform. We are losing human identity.
This was one of my priorities, in my run for NC State Senate in 2010 - to introduce and help draft legislation that would make it a felony to knowingly make a false report of child abuse or neglect.
To date, nothing has been done and many families continue to suffer as a result of false reports.
As a former Social Worker and Adoptions Worker, I witnessed many such cases, but was powerless to do anything, due to lack of legislation making it a crime....
Right now, as is, with states getting money as a bonus, it seems, to protect any reporter of abuse (all too often, spite reports), the innocent children and family are prone to emotional and physical damage as a result.
It's time to put an end to it. NC is only one of a handful of states, less than 10 in the US, that have NO laws to punish those who make false reports.
It IS time for real change - not only in the legislation, but in the so-called "leadership." If our representatives are NOT working for US, then they ought to step down or be voted out! It's time for real change this year.
Just as important to KNOW WHO NOT to vote for as it is to know WHOM to vote for.
Florida is one state that has enacted excellent legislation that provides SERIOUS penalties for making false reports of child abuse or neglect.
Ever wonder why ...other states haven't followed suit?
Under CAPTA, Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act, states are eligible for federal grants for providing immunity to the reporter.
Go figure - AND follow the dollar! ALWAYS, follow the $$$
Requiring immigrants to come in legally has always been law. It's not new, so why does the attitude change with a new President?
Why people prefer to be unaffiliated in elections.
We shouldn't ignore history.
To do so is to repeat it.
