The owner, Noe, is very conscious and courteous of dietary choices and healthy lifestyles (you'll see). His refried beans are made vegan, as are most of his sauces. Just mention you are vegan, and the...y wont' let you order something outside of your diet, but you just need to look at the menu where he has a whole page of vegetarian and vegan items. My favorites are the Nopales (amazing), the tamal (also amazing, get it no cheese for vegan) and the vegetarian chimichanga (again no cheese for a vegan option). He also makes fresh juices that are incredible, delicious and healthy. If I sound fanatic about the place, it's because I am. See More

It's not that easy to find vegetarian-friendly (let alone vegan-friendly) Mexican food; between lard in the refried beans and chicken stock in the rice or green chile, there's no telling what animal products might be lurking in the foods you order. That's why we just love places like Tarasco's New.....
