My rating used to be 5 stars, but a lot has changed in the last couple of years. And it would be really nice to have convention further west sometimes. As much as I love the mountains, it's hard to ge...t out there every.single.year. There are members that are just as important west of East TN. See More

TARS is awesome. They do a great service for the Rescue Squads in Tennessee. And, a huge benefit for me as an AEMT is I can get my CEUs without having to play treasure hunt looking for classes. 5... star ***** See More

The TARS Rescue College will have a Mass Transit (Bus) Rescue class on March 10-12 n Harriman, TN. The Mass Transit Rescue program is designed to give students a well-rounded education on bus construction and types of buses, as well as, other forms of public transportation. Discussed in the class are tour buses, trains, and a special emphasis placed on school buses. Basic Extrication procedures, intermediate procedures and advanced rescue techniques are taught in a mix of field and classroom activities. Taught on a regional basis by TARS certified college level instructors. Perquisites: Must have current certification in Basic Extrication. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Captain Gerry Latham with the Cumberland County Rescue Squad. Please keep his family and CCRS in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. Arrangements are being made Monday morning. We will post as soon as they are available.
