As you may have heard, the Mixed Team Relay was cancelled during the bike leg of the second athlete. USAT has decided to give awards and prize money based on the position when the race was stopped. While we dont have any official word yet of our finishing position, we have a home video of the race ending with Maddie in THIRD PLACE. #werecallingitthird

Here is the highlight video from last weekend's USA Triathlon Collegiate Nationals. USAT's Tim Yount called us out from the podium of the awards ceremony after the video for "drafting in the non-draft olympic"...we are still looking for it, see if you can spot it. In case you were wondering we had ZERO penalties this weekend. 😂😂😂

The Aggies had another fantastic showing at USAT Collegiate Nationals this weekend! We finished 4th as a combined team to tie our highest finish ever and the Women's team finished 3rd place for the first top 5 finish in Women's team history! Matt Carson 29th Place

Lauren Lewis 9th Place, 3rd Female to finish top 10 in team history (Liz Baugher, Alex Weber)
Maddie Hirsch 20th Place, 4th Female to finish top 20 in team history

Karyn Stern 39th Place

Matt Carson 20th Place, 3rd Male to finish top 20 in team history (Michael Arishita, Scott Wilkinson)
Garrett Mayeaux 29th Place

The mixed team relay was cancelled near the end of the second leg but we had a team in 3rd place and in prime podium posistions at the time of cancelation.

Former TAMU triathlon team member doing big things! Gig'em Anton Kolomiets!

"When I’m not helping solve unique design challenges on vehicles that must perform flawlessly in one of the most unforgiving environments imaginable, you’ll likely find me competing in another challenging environment – a triathlon. While most people are sleeping, my friends and I are usually swimming or running in preparation for the next race weekend."
