The Controversial CaninePet Service in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
Loved this read....enjoy 😄
THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MYTHS pet food companies have ever come up with, and it breaks my heart to see dogs paying the price. Please inform yourself so you can help your dog live as long as possible.
Good read this. Of particular interest is the inserted ABC news clip (7mins) called "Revealed: The relationship between your vet and pharmaceutical companies". ...
It contains a lot of what we know already about petfood heavily cash investing in our university veterinary departments. Vitally though, I found what I've been looking for for some time - a quote from a university veterinary department that admits a Hills veterinary employee directly teaches nutrition to their third-year students (Sydney University, Australia).
This is of high value to me as I have not been able to get a university to admit to this yet.
Unbelievably, while the vet department is on record to be perfectly fine with this, a lecturer in ethics from the very same University that admitted this was going on, Anne Fawcett, admits the potential for conflict of interest was very real. In the piece, she states "I think we need to be really aware of the problem. Companies wouldn't be giving freebies if they weren't getting something out of it".
"We're on this slippery slope of influence that pervades the things we do...it saddens me that despite terrific developments, we have gone down this pathway of commercialism".
