Tomorrow night at 6:00pm we will be at the 2014 Hayfield Classic in Hamilton Ohio (FREE beer and food at this one!!). TRYING SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR If there is anyone out there interested in hosting a house concert with the DCB this summer or fall, just say the word! Send us a message on Facebook. Hanging out with our fans and getting to know people who are interested in the music has always been one of the best parts about performing live. This year we are hoping to get to know you even better by bringing the music to you. Have you been putting off throwing that "I can't remember burning mattresses on the street party?" It's time to wake up all your friends and dust off the inflatable mustache ride, because this is the occasion you've been waiting for! Or maybe you're looking for something a bit more laid back? Get together with a group of your closest music loving life champions and enjoy the DCB up close and personal. OH! and please pass the hog-leg... Using the power of science we can now transform a 1973 ranch duplex into a world-class music venue... and by that we mean we can bring our P.A. system and set it up. Or maybe you'd like to keep it real and just have the guys perform acoustic around the bon-fire. However you prefer, it's a DCB show just for you. Getcha some!

Here we are, callin on all you righteous people out there that enjoy a good live DCB show! The same people that support what we're doin and want us to keep it goin! We're askin that you make some time next week to come be an important part of our live performance on Red Barn Radio. It's in Lexington KY next Wednesday October 2nd, downtown at the arts place studio. We're gearing up for a new album these days. And we want to do a definitive set of our best songs to date.... live on Red Barn Radio for the whole world to here! (If that's the kind of thing they're into) But if we're going to do the best performance we possibly can, we'll need all that good energy that you, our fans, usually bring to our live shows! Come be a part of it, and listen to the difference you make on the live broadcast... Which will be streamed on this Facebook Page as soon as it's available. If you get a chance... Please RSVP your plans to come and I'll provide you with time and location details (Either on our Facebook page here, our the band email, thedowntowncountyband@gmail.com). If enough people plan to come there may be free West Sixth draft beer to go around! Good Fun!! See you there
The Downtown County Band will be performing for the Frankfort Concert Series tomorrow night on the Old Capital Lawn. No chance of rain and 70 degrees... A perfect evening of live music!

The Downtown County Band is comin to Frankfort!! So come on out to The Dragon Pub tomorrow night around 9:30pm if you want to dance around on the deck outside, get all sweaty and rub up against some people... Local sensation Triceratops Jackson will be starting the night off around 9:30, then let The DCB sonically smash your inhibitions around 10:30-45 until whenever Handsome Johnny gets too drunk to play another song (which almost never happens). See you there!
Last week we had the pleasure to welcome the famous, very beautiful, and multi-talented blogger-extrodinaire Shirley Naught to a typical run-of-the-mill DCB band practice. Well, the time has come... We're heading out for the John Hartford Memorial Festival in Bean Blossom Indiana. Gettin ready for a great time!! Hopefully we'll see plenty of DCB enthusiasts there.

Bring the tent and get ready for an absolute barn burner show Friday night at 1:30am in the boogie tent! The DCB is doing an after party type set for all those festival goers looking to dance and have some serious fun. Then catch us again on the main stage Saturday at 1:00pm!

Hello Frankfort - you gorgeous little thang!

You've been so good to us over the years... now it's time for us to give a little something back. Come on out to The Dragon Pub this Saturday night after Derby for the DCB's annual Derby Day musical love fest (with dancing). It's going to be fast and hard - Like Handsome Johnny on that big ole bass guitar.

The festival just released their schedule and announced the sale of single day tickets on their new web site... but why w...ould you want to stay for just one day?

Camping out at such a great festival is always FUN! and getting whiskey drunk with The DCB is OK too.

Their inhibition trying to get in the way...

His perception then changed as a snare drum crack.

Before the music, there was no one around
Now feet moving, crowd starts to surround

Hello to all you handsome and beautiful DCB supporters! Anthem Project Productions is putting on this fantastic show at the end of the month and they're giving away some free tickets! All you gotta do to become eligible is "like" the Anthem... Project Productions Facebook page and share the link below.
