For more than three centuries, First Church has ministered to New York City through good times and bad. Your gifts make this possible.

Join us tonight at 7:30 PM as we enter the Lenten season! Our weekly Jazz Vespers service, in which we encourage prayer, meditation, and informality into the liturgy, will also feature communion as well as the musical stylings of Rob Cookman. Part of our ongoing Tuesdays on Twelfth program, this service is open to all.

On this day, we pause to remember the LGBTQ and allies lives lost in last year's attack on the Pulse night club. At 3 o'clock, our bells tolled for each of the 49 victims as we continued our prayers for an end to hate. #RememberThe49 #OrlandoUnitedDay

#ThankfulTuesday...On Sunday afternoon, hundreds of people gathered in the church sanctuary to hear Haydn’s Creation performed by The First Presbyterian Church Choir and Orchestra led by Dr William F. Entriken. Each year the choir performs with full orchestra two large choral masterworks. We concluded last year with an outstanding performance of Messiah so it was fitting that this year’s Lenten Service of Sacred Music was Creation as Haydn was inspired to write the oratorio after experiencing Handel’s Messiah. While lesser known, Creation is no less beloved. We are grateful for the dedication and gifts of our amazing choir and orchestra for sharing such a beautiful service with the community.
