The staff at The Jolly Oyster are fantastic, the music is great and the food is even better. This is where my husband and I get away to be close to the ocean and enjoy the freshiest Oysters we ever ha...d. We eat them raw and grilled. Took home 5 dozen so we can start the New Year with a bang. See More

We absolutely love it we come here every year. Specially October is the best weather to be out side all day like picnic time. Good place for family and friends gathering.

Best kept secret in Ventura. At the time I visited, I didn't like Oysters. I was only going for my husband. Until the owners assured me, I had never had fresh. They were kind & taught me a few new thi...ngs. And they were correct! I definitely hadn't had fresh Oysters, as there's were absolutely yummy. BYOB or wine, because u will want to stay awhile to take a stroll along the beach afterwards. Animal friendly, kid friendly, people friendly, as it is an outside, portable type, setup establishment. Loved it here. See More

Stopped by while passing through on vacation. Went super early and was rewarded. Jackie not only gave me a run down on how the oysters are produced, but she went the extra mile and even showed me how properly shuck. Thank you for the amazing experience. See More

This is at least my fifth visit over the past 3 Years and I have not been disappointed yet. The last 2 visits I got THE BEST oysters I have ever eaten in my life and I am 53 and live in Louisiana!!!... They were delicious every other time but I got the smaller ones and prefer large "champagne" oysters. I have to say the flavor of these particular oysters raw, cooked on coals or in a stew just has never been matched for me!! Thanks Jolly Oyster!!! See More

Next time I will be prepared with a bottle of wine of some beer. The Cajun oysters were delicious: juicy, plump, and seasoned to perfection. A half dozen made a surprizingly filling meal. It was bi...t bit cool and cludy for dining al fresco, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! See More

The kumamoto oysters were super amazing. They tasted like the ocean in the best way possible. We really enjoyed the two sauces as well. They really complimented the oysters well.

This place had the worst service. We were told 20 minutes for our food and we ended up waiting an hour and a half plus they didn't give is our full order at once. I would tell people to stay away from... this place! See More
