We must be doing something right because for the second year in a row we won a blue ribbon for our entry in the Hillyard Hi-Jinks parade! Thank you to Kevin who led the group and for all those Minions who participated.

Brewery Tour this Saturday, July 29th. See post below for details.

Getting thirsty? The weather is hot and we Minions can get a little parched when out riding our scoots. Solution- The Minions 5th Annual Spokane Brewery Tour. Save this date today - Saturday, July 29th at 2pm. Minion Jeff, who knows a bit about Spokane brews, has once again offered to be our guide to some of the finest Craft houses the Inland Empire has to offer. Here's the Plan. We meet at 2pm at Dick's Drive-in on 3rd Ave. on Saturday the 29th of July. Getting there early for some pre-ride grub might be a good idea for obvious reasons. From there, Jeff will lead us to the most distant brewery, and then we will work our way back to town. Pretty simple plan...lot's of fun. About 4 locations should fit the bill for this event. Hope to see a big group for this event. New riders are always welcome.

Hey Minions. It's been a while since we last got together, so let's put an end to that with a very popular reprise from last season. Once again, we Minions will be meeting for a Spokane Indians home game and Trailer-gate party BBQ at Avista Stadium on Monday, July 10th. The trailer will be set up with refreshments, food and music starting at 4:30 pm and those who wish to attend the game can walk over to the stadium around 6:15 pm. Some of us will choose to stay with the t...railer so scoots will be safe for the evening. Look for our trailer along the north section of the parking area that borders Broadway Ave. We have purchased 15 tickets for the game and if we need more we will grab a few more. Everything is compliments of the club so put your past paid dues to work and join us.

Show up preferably on your scoot and enjoy a night out with the Minions and the Spokane Indians. See you there. New riders are welcome to join us.

Great first outing for the Minions' 11th season of scooting. A little conflict with local graduations and other summer activities, but about 15 dedicated Minions were able to break away. We accomplished a lot at our planning meeting at the Illinois Bar and Grill. Several rides/events were scheduled for the summer and fall with our first being our Spokane Indians baseball and trailer-gate party scheduled for Monday, July 10th. Trailer-gate BBQ starts at 5pm....gametime at 6:30. More on this event and all other schedule events coming up later. Keep an eye on our Facebook page. Remember, everyone with a scoot over 100cc is welcome to join our events.

Minion Ride Sunday, July 11 at 2pm - Read on---
It was a brutal winter and the many of our post-hibernation personal duties led to a slow start to a Minion Scooter season. Having said that, it's time to get busy. Our first group ride is scheduled for Sunday, June 11th at 2pm. We will meet at Dick's Drive-In on 3rd Ave. and make our way (in a roundabout way) to the Illinois Bar and Grill at 1403 E Illinois Ave. We should be at the tavern around 3pm for those who can't make ...the initial meet. We have lots to discuss and this ride will double as our Annual Meeting. President Tom and a few other members have some cool ideas for the season and we are looking for input from other members as well. You can leave your checkbook at home for this ride as there will likely again be no club dues collected this season unless voted upon at the meeting. We still have a decent bank account with no major expenses anticipated for the season.

There will likely be some changes to the Minion hierarchy and planning structure to be expected, however if anyone wants to step in and preside as "grand ruler" of the club this season, please contact me or be sure to show up at Sunday's ride. Let's go Minions...time to get those 10, 12 and 13 inch wheels rolling. See you at Dicks.

Almost forgot.....start to keep an eye on the Minion Facebook page as this will soon be our primary form of communication as the season evolves. Everyone is always welcome to join on the rides,

Minions…..One of our newest Minion Member, Johnny Jaynes, has quickly taken the lead and arranged a pre-Halloween costume and Poker ride that looks like a great way to spend a late Saturday afternoon. This will likely be our last ride for the season and it looks fun. Costume up for the contest if you like and definitely bring a jacket and gloves. Thanks again to Suzette and Kevin for putting together a great and eventful Green Bluff tour. There is plenty of time to plan for this ride and a reminder will be sent a little down the road. All the details are listed below. Meet location is DeLeon Foods at 3:45pm. New riders who want to meet the club are always welcome to Join us.

Thank you very much to the Hillyard Festival for awarding the Minions the Blue Ribbon for best all-around entry in the Hillyard Hi Jinx parade! We knew we were good and this just proves it. If you missed this ride it was sure a lot of fun. Thanks to Shawn Fissette and Karen Stocking for putting on such a great event in a historic part of Spokane. We will be back next year to defend our title!

Hey Minions and other viewers, Minion Greg is reluctantly putting his fully restored Vintage 1962 GL Vespa scoot up for sale. This thing runs beautifully and has a brand new 150cc engine, (not rebuilt). The paint job is amazing and everything works. Of course he would like to keep the scoot in the club so inquiries from this post may get a better deal than the Craigslist posted price of $2900.00. Here is what Greg posted on Craigslist; "Fully restored. New LMC 150 engine, 10"wheels, new cables, tires, seat, brakes and reconditioned fuel tank. Collector Plates. Must see to appreciate." Respond to this post, or leave a message on this page if you would like to speak with Greg. Thanks for looking.
