MUNISING — State Rep. Sara Cambensy (D-Marquette) invites residents to join her for her Munising coffee hour on: Monday, Jan. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the Munising City Hall, 301 E. Superior St. in Munising....
Cambensy represents to 109th House District which includes the counties of Luce, Alger and Schoolcraft, and most of Marquette County.
Visitation for Becky Phillipson of AuTrain will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Pastor Sandra Kolder will conduct Becky’s funeral service in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Services for Albert A. Ikkala of Chatham will be held at the Sion Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. unt...il 12:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Kelto will conduct Albert’s funeral service at noon.

Greg’s celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Munising Tribal Center (the Old Lincoln School). Please use the M-28 entrance. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a traditional Native drum and then Rev. Paul Kelto will conduct the service.
Services for Phyllis Marie Brock of Munising, will be held at the Eden Lutheran Church in Munising on Monday, January 15, 2018. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Pastor Ann Gonyea will conduct Phyllis’ memorial service at 5:00 p.m.
Kiwanis of Alger County has limited quantities of the Schermer Pecans in stock at The Munising News, 132 E. Superior St., Munising. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. These are the same pecans previously sold by the Hospital Auxiliary.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Pastor Sandra Kolder and Pastor Jason LaFamme will conduct Nancy’s funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising at a later date.

Thurman Price Stevenson, age 94, lifelong resident of Munising, died early Sunday morning, October 8, 2017 at UPHS Marquette. Interment will be on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s section of Maple Grove Cemetery where the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
