The OMNI Ensemble will continue its 34th season of concerts in the recital hall of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, March 11 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler, will be joined by violinist Dan Auerbach, cellist David Bakamjian and harpsichordist Rebecca Pechefsky for an evening of music for flute, violin, cello and harpsichordWorks to be performed are J.S. Bach’s Sonata for flute and harpsichord in B minor, George Phillip Telemann’s Pari...s Quartet in D major, Jacques Ibert’s Deux Interludes for flute, violin and harpsichord, the World Premiere of Milos Raickovich’s Passacaglia and Double Fugue on B-A-C-H and B-A-G-D-A-D, and the World Premiere of David Wechsler’s Sonata for flute, cello and harpsichord. The OMNI Ensemble welcomes the return of co founder/ pianist John Cheek

The OMNI Ensemble invites you to its fifth annual outdoor fundraising gala on Sunday, June 30th at 4PM, at 690 East 18th Street, between Foster Avenue and Glenwood Road. Besides a wide range of musical genres, the event offers dancing and a variety of refreshments, beverages and a raffle! Funds will help support the OMNI Ensemble’s upcoming 31st season at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and the College of Staten Island.

The OMNI Ensemble is concluding our 30th season of concerts at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on April 20, 2013 at 8:00 pm at the Brooklyn Conservatory. This is going to be a very special program featuring vocalist Erika Banks, with David Wechsler on flutes, saxophones,
WX-7 and vocals, Art Bailey playing piano, synthesizer and accordion, Jim Ponzi on guitar, Jennifer Vincent playing bass and cello, and Dave Forman playing drums. We are doing a terrific cross se...ction of music, starting with electronic renditions of Renaissance songs, (mostly from the 15th century), some jazz tunes by John Coltrane, Freddie Hubbard, Vernon Duke, Cole Porter, and Edith PIaf, some original songs entitled Songs From The Lunar Philharmonic by David Wechsler, and some other great music. We will be performing music by David Amram, Ladislas Rohozinski, J.S. Bach, Elliott Carter and David Wechsler, as well as some electric Renaissance music and improvisations.
Tickets for this benefit concert are $40 per person, or $70 per couple, and $25 for students with a valid id card
