I think they do a wonderful service especially to the seniors and those that are shut in. I volunteer on Thanksgiving morning to deliver meals prepared by Salvation Army to those that are less fortuna...te than many of us, I am blessed to participate in the deliveries. I solicit many of my friends and family to help as well. See More

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our longstanding Senior Soldier, Jaime (Jimmy) Bezares, has passed away today.

Jimmy has attended The Salvation ...Army of Bristol for many years, but has also soldiered at The Salvation Army Hartford Citadel Corps, Hartford Temple Corps, and in New York state as well. With a passion for service, in the 1990s he was employed at The Salvation Army's Marshall House Shelter in Hartford, CT, volunteered in various aspects of ministry efforts, and participated year-round at all local corps functions.

He leaves behind his wife, Carmen, siblings, several children, grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. In addition, he is remembered fondly by fellow Soldiers, Members, and Officers of The Salvation Army throughout the US.

We love you.
