This boutique hotel is wonderfully chic, understated and just gorgeous. I'd definitely recommend it and I'll be visiting again. Just what a weekend treat should be!

Crab linguine was a hit. Staff put up with us all afternoon. Still don't know how to say Viognier. Certainly know how to drink it.

Judging by the ratings we were just unlucky... However, we ordered four pizzas, 2 pizzas were missing a topping entirely, 3 pizzas were burnt on the underside and 1 pizza had no mozzarella. If it wasn...'t for the fact we had to drive 15mins to pick it up we would have gone back for a refund.
When we did ring up to order the waitress failed to mention the specials board pizza on offer also.
According to my sister the staff were friendly but on the whole, for £12 a pizza, it was an extreme let down :(

First time that we have stayed at the Hotel (having eaten here previously) and it was really very good. We stayed in Room 1 which is a beautifully furnished sea view room, the decor is sleek and moder...n and the room immaculately clean.

The two lounge areas on the ground and first floor have a very relaxed vibe and if you can secure the Chesterfield in front of the fire on the ground floor, no need to move for the rest of the evening!

I've read negative reports about the breakfast, we disagree completely. Whilst they do not offer a formal cooked breakfast you can get bacon rolls should you wish. However, the spread of the continental breakfast was excellent, loads of fresh fruit, meats, cheese, cereals and pastries. Also the coffee is really good.

Whilst the Hotel is very nicely set up, it is definitely the people working there that make the experience and we have nothing but good things to say about all the staff we met. Professional, relaxed, engaging and very happy to go the extra mile. Special mentions to Jo, James, Toni and the two guys working the bar/restaurant (sorry didn't catch your names).

In terms of any areas to improve, the only thing was that the shower is a bit form over function, and if you are not careful you can flood the bathroom.

On the whole a great stay in a lovely hotel that offers good value for money (for St Mawes). We would definitely stay again.
