Having lived in Japan for three years, we love sushi. We were blown away when we found out that The Sushi Joint was opening in Washougal! This place is reminiscent of a real sushi bar in Japan. The a...tmosphere/space is tight, but that's authentic! The sushi artists were great. Very quick and amazing presentation. The owner was very accommodating to our party of 6. Great service. We had the Washougal rolls x 3, avocado roll, The Sushi Joint roll, and the Fallen Leaf roll. I was really impressed with the flavor and presentation. All of the rolls were great. Very fresh and delicious. Made to order! It took maybe 45 mins or less to order, eat and checkout for a group of 6. I foresee in the future having to wait (and gladly will), but tonight, we were sat immediately. Only suggestions would be Diet Coke/Coke Zero and fresh, made to order tempura. In Sasebo, Japan, there was a small tempura bar called Tenichi that was unbelievable. Lightly battered, each piece was placed on your plate as it was cooked, so it wasn't greasy, absolutely delicious. That would be a wonderful addition. We were a group of 4 sat at the bar, we had The Sushi Joint roll, The Washougal x2 and the Dragon roll...yum! The place is very nice, but small, it was fine tonight but when the word gets out how good... they are there will not be enough room :D beer and wine is coming. I will be back! Thanks Paul! See More

Attention to detail, fresh ingredients and well executed menu make this my favorite place for sushi in Clark County. The Sushi Joint proves the "Little Engine That Could" still can. :)

Great sushi! Great owner! Hands down the best Hamachi I've ever had too. Washougal roll is delish as well. Having been there several times, this is now my go to for sushi! Great work Sushi Joint!
