A great day yesterday at CA-CIB in London at the Helping Hand Award ceremony. Thank you to Pat Hudson who sponsored TT and won our donation of £4,000. Fantastic that this has already been put together with part of the February Foundation grant and other funds raised by Owen’s family to place the order for Owen’s SnapDragon. Happy Christmas, Owen and everyone at Credit Agricole.
The Turbo Trust is very grateful to the February Foundation for a generous grant of £7,500 received last week. And to Credit Agricole for a Helping Hand Award of £4,000. These will make a huge difference to 2 of our grant applicants, including little Owen, who will be able to get a loan SnapDragon before Christmas and his own customised chair early next year. Hoping for lots of fun Christmas photos from Owen's family.
Owen still needs help to meet all his needs, so please donate through this page, or on Owen's justgiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/owenyorath
7 years ago, Sophie had her first SnapDragon. I'm glad to say that the Stubbenhagen family are regular supporters of the Turbo Trust. Having benefitted from a contribution to Sophie's first SnapDragon they have gone on to help others. That's how we like to work - pass it forward! Many thanks to all our supporters.
With grateful thanks to the Variety Club Childrens Charity, The Caudwell Childrens Charity, the NHS, The Turbo Trust, Mr R Owen and of course Dragon Mobility all of which contributed to the attached video of Sophie Playing with her sister!
This year's duck race is on Sunday 10th Sept 2017. Come and join us in Cherry Hinton at Spring Head from 1.30pm. Opposite the Eating Inn pub (Robin Hood) CB1 9JL. Silly races, wacky (or is it quacky?) decorated ducks, prizes, games, fun of all kinds for all the family.
Very well done Katie!
Just did my big fun run 5k today in aid of the Trubo Trust where I did it in 38 minutes and 3 minutes off my pb which I am pleased with. There is plenty of time to still donate via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/adamdragonchair
If you're in the North East of England, listen out on BBC Tees this afternoon at 4.50pm, when Oscar's parents will be interviewed about the massive difference his SnapDragon has made to his life. Thanks again to everyone who made it happen.
If you are wondering what we do and why we do it, watch this! And donate/fundraise to help more people live like these children do.
A message from the father of one of our applicants. We are so proud to have been part of getting Oscar his legs.
