Animals matter 🐾
At the Melbourne Cup Parade on Monday, this horse was being brought into the middle of the noisy CBD and forced to walk down Swanston Street in front of thousan...ds of people.
The horse looked so terrified and when removed from the float, they were looking around as if trying to work out what was going on.
This year the Melbourne Cup had the lowest attendance since 1996. Derby Day had the second lowest attendance this century. The numbers are decreasing. People seem to be understanding now that animals should not be used for our entertainment.
Verema, Admire Rakti, Araldo, Red Cadeaux, Regal Monarch.
The 'race that stops a nation' is over for 2017, as is the life of another horse. Regal Monarch has no...w died after a "horror crash" during race 4 of today's Melbourne Cup event. He was only five years old.
This beautiful horse has now become one of the thousands of casualties of the horse racing industry, most of whom will never make headlines. We’re sorry, Regal Monarch. You did not deserve to die for the sake of gambling money. Nobody does.
May you rest in peace. 💔
💥💥 2016 results 💥💥
DO NOT bet on animal cruelty 😡
Yesterday there was over 20 different race meets across the country. These are just the results from Flemington – direct from industry documents.
One of the hor...ses that pulled up lame? Ridden by the jockey who was charged for over-whipping.
And the winner of the Melbourne cup was over-whipped, too.
Good work advocates ✔️
All the horses deserve a retirement plan ♥️
If these rich owners can't ensure their horses will have a secure and safe retirement then they should not be breeding - racing and profiting off of them!
#BREAKING: Racehorse protection activists have just crashed the crowds at Derby Day to demand a retirement plan for racehorses.
For many racegoers, this will b...e their first time seeing the cruelty of horse racing, and the real cost of their fun day out.
They deserve a retirement plan - not a bullet.

❌💥 Brumbies slaughter 💥❌

Dear Mr Andrews
I would like to bring to your attention a disturbing act in Victoria, the evidence of which has been posted on facebook yesterday - the indiscriminate shooting of 8 brumbies, with their bodies left to rot on a Park road.
Three mares and four fillies (which means there is a mare out there somewhere, potentially injured or traumatised from the loss of her foal) and a stallion.
I for one am appalled at the treatment of these animals, who are part of our heritage and history, who served us during the first world war, and who are doing far less damage than the hoards of vehicles and people who damage the environment while in the Parks areas. These photos are deeply disturbing, and no animal should be used as target practise for people - this should be unacceptable in our great state.
Here is the link to the photos that were taken:
I believe the following actions desperately need to be taken:
1. A Victoria wide ban on the shooting of horses and native animals in State and National Parks
2. An instant ban on any person with firearms and cross bows in State and National Parks who is not an emergency services, police officer or park ranger.
I add an additional question: How did this person manage to hit eight horses in the neck? I suspect semi automatic or automatic gun fire. Horses are fast, especially over open territory. The only way to be that accurate is to have a fast reload and a powerful, long range weapon. These weapons should be banned and an investigation should be opened as to why they were being used in public spaces.
There is a clear and present danger to people who may be caught in cross fire of longe range, rapid reload weapons, as well as to animals who die or suffer unnecessarily and for the "pleasure" of the kill.
Please stop this.
I look forward to a detailed response.
AUSTRALIAN ANIMAL ABUSER
STATE : Cobram VICTORIA
NAME : KALEB KENNEDY ( 2016 )
CRUELTY act : aggravated cruelty to a deer, boar, goat, and cat, after he had tra...ined his three dogs to maul and kill other animals.
Kaleb Kennedy grew up in a family of puppy farmers.
Kaleb's mother is Jodie Knox who operates a large Murray River Puppy Factory.
She is a member of the puppy farming organisation AAPDB who regularly makes submissions to state governments supporting puppy factories and the sale of animals in pet shops.
STORY and VIDEO links:
If VICTORIA can hold an Inquiry into their State RSPCA then why can't NSW do the same?
Our government allows the RSPCA to ignore compliance, enforcement and prosecution policy, allowing for the RSPCA to overstep public expectations and interest guidelines.
If you got to sit down and have a talk with RSPCA NSW CEO Steve Coleman what questions would you ask him?
RSPCA NSW is one of three enforcement organisations un...der the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act; the other two enforcement agencies are the Animal Welfare League NSW and NSW Police. RSPCA NSW operates under its own constitution and governance structure, independent of the New South Wales Government...
AN OPEN QUESTION TO THE RSPCA IN ALL AUSTRALIAN STATES...
We would like to know just what do you class as " serious " animal cruelty?
Recent examples :
1/ The H...ervey Bay QLD Dog that died due to being COOKED ALIVE whilst tied to a clothes line in the Heat wave conditions.
WILL THIS POOR DOGS OWNERS BE CHARGED WITH ANIMAL CRUELTY and never allowed to own another pet?
2/ PARKLEA MARKETS and the appalling conditions that little animals waiting to be sold have been subjected to for too long now.
ARE YOU GOING TO HELP FIGHT FOR A LAW THAT STOPS THE SALE OF ANIMALS AT MARKETS?
3/ THE MORISSET NSW SHOW RODEO.
Over the weekend of Feb 11th 2017 you stated that you had made a request to the Morisset Show organisers to stop ALL animal related events due to the EXTREME heat.
The Rodeo went ahead in the Heat despite your request.
WHERE WERE YOU ON THE DAY?
Why weren't there any Inspectors at the Rodeo monitoring the animals?
DOESN'T THE WELFARE OF CATTLE and HORSES MATTER?
4/ THE ANIMALS STUCK IN ADELAIDE ON THE LIVE EXPORT SHIP - Al Shuwaikh.
The poor animals were loaded on board that DEATHSHIP the other day in the scorching HEAT.
I URGE everyone to please call the RSPCA SA Cruelty Line about the protracted atrocity that is the sheep stranded on the Al Shuwaikh in Adelaide Port. 1300477722
Sailing has now been put back to tomorrow night, meaning that the first sheep were loaded last Thursday morning.
They keep moving the poor animals to try and hide them from observation.
** Are the 4 examples above worthy of being " serious " to you? **
You state on your Webpage that..
RSPCA inspectors are appointed under state and territory animal welfare legislation. This legislation gives inspectors a range of powers to investigate cases of animal cruelty and to enforce animal welfare law. These powers are similar in nature to those afforded to police officers.
In the course of investigating animal cruelty offences, inspectors are empowered to:
seize evidence of animal cruelty offences;
issue animal welfare directions/notices;
issue on-the-spot fines; and
initiate prosecutions under animal welfare legislation.
Although inspectors are afforded these powers, in the majority of cases inspectors will seek to resolve animal welfare issues through the provision of education and advice.
Enforcement action, such as the seizure of animals and initiation of prosecutions, is reserved for serious cases of animal mistreatment.
So we ask ..
Just what do you class as "serious" animal cruelty?
