My daughter (8) and I had a lovely time at the Colonial Fair on April 14. She was conscripted into the army, won a spelling bee in the one-room schoolhouse, pumped the bellows for the blacksmith, and ...those are only a few of the highlights. I enjoyed seeing the period costumes and learning some history at each activity. Definitely would recommend it. See More

A nice little spot to spend a little time and learn some history of not just Paine and the Revolution but of local New Rochelle. If you time it right you can make a day of it in New Rochelle, which i...s a great town. See More

Great little museum. The director gave my daughter a history lesson to help with her project on Thomas Paine, as well as an interesting map of New Rochelle. A worthwhile trip.

A lovely, small museum, with exhibits related to Paine, as well as to New Rochelle history and to colonial American history. View artifacts, reproductions and dioramas on your own or have a person...alized tour with Director John Wright. Lost a point due to limited hours, and lack of handicapped access to 2nd floor exhibits and bathroom. See More
