We just bought our first home on Silas Moore rd and move there in two weeks (so excited) . We cannot wait to be involved in this quaint place, and meet some of these wonderful people. We have lived i...n Raleigh for 7yrs and we cannot wait to leave it behind. All of the great reviews really make us feel we made the right decision. See More

It is one of the best small towns in NC. I had the privilege of working for this town for 13 years. I saw wonderful growth and changes. One thing that never changed was friendliness of the people t...hat lived here and their willingness to help people. The people take pride in making Benson a delightful town. See More

The town of Benson does not have many places to eat. It does not have anywhere for you to take your kids too. It is just a small town and that is all it will ever be.

I am so blessed to have met some amazing people that I now call friends while going through a horrendous time...the disappearance of someone whose family that I love.....
COLE THOMAS. There have been... mistakes made in our mind (my husband and many friends are LE) but I know that everyone is human. I have found out things that have hurt me. Sadness is ever present. We will NEVER give up looking for Cole. We live in a small town and know that people talk so he truth will come out. I just beg everyone to share with the family or with LE anything that you hear because no matter how small it is, it can be just what we need to break the case. To bring Cole home.
Thank you to all the wonderful people that I have met in Benson.
God bless you all.

A big thank you to the Town of Benson and those in authority here; especially our Police Officers and those who put their lives on the line each day. Bashing our town, as I have seen recently on FB, i...s not helping the morale of those in authority. I love my hometown of Benson and respect those in authority. Let's be more mindful of how hurtful and discouraging negative words can be. Let's pull together and support our town! See More

Terrible town to reside in. They are worried more about taking your money than cleaning up the filth and drugs.

I went to Jordana's pizza today to eat for the 1st time and the customer serive was awful!!! When i came in nobody greeted me, nobody gave me a menu, i had to get up and walk to the register just to l...et them know that i was here. Then they didn't know what kind of beverage they had, i waited 30 to 45 min just for my drink. When my food arrived they didnt give me any napkins or silverware! The food was good but i had to get up to ask them for a refill on my drink and for the check!!!! I will NEVER dine here again!!!!! See More

Why is it that this towns leaders are so simple minded that they can't tell that traffic is good for Benson and more cars mean more money for the businesses here . But instead they setup not one but 3... traffic check points to discourage driving in our town . Think about this is someone from out of state was to pull off the highway to pee and get a drink and then they hit a checkpoint . Do u actually think that they would get off exit 97 ever again . What we really need is less government and regulations . Its like this town has there priority's twisted and would rather take away our rights than make money unless u consider the way they rape all there citizens for utilities See More

I would like to know how many residences have seen a change in their water bill since the new meters have been put in? Since they have been installed my water bill has gone so high that the worker ...in the office have stated that someone must have been stealing water from me on the outside mind you the spicket is broken and another said I had a leak. When the meter was installed my water bill stated I used 10,000 gallons of water I called the office to see what was going on at that point Erica stated I was at 35,000 gallons and I still had about 14 days till the meter was read. I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment with my 6 year son and we normally so call use about 2,000 a month. When I called they had workers come check the meter and nothing, they said maybe my toilet was leaking and told me how to check if it was and nothing it's working fine. I started writing down the meter number since I called and decided to take pictures of it instead every few days how can it be that after I called all the sudden my meter is registering only a few gallons of use, how is it that someone stop stealing water or the so call leak stopped after I made that call to see what was going on. When I call the town office and try to talk about t they give me attitude. I want to know if anyone else if going though the same thing how can it be that my son and I used up over 35,000 gallons of water and there is no leak and the spicket can not be used. I really starting to believe all the rumors that I've heard about this town. See More
