So how come when the town closes your road for the 16th time there is never an announcement or anything to tell you? Or when you ask them to move so you can leave they look at you and laugh.. Or how a...bout when they are ripping your whole front yard apart they fail to tell you that as well? good job christiansburg on the fine work See More

When the town wants to close a beloved business because they do not believe it's falls under the exemptions they listed, and then put on an event that mimics what they just said no to others for, that...'s hypocrisy. Enjoy your movies in the park, I'll make sure to be right there checking decible levels and calling anytime it's above your range, and if you try to use the exemptions you placed that should be in use for the other business, well that would be great! I think it's ridiculous to have to pay 2 taxes, county and town tax. Why not one tax like other counties do Montgomery County tax, like Floyd co only has one tax. And as far as the water run off tax t...hat's the most ridiculous thing they could do, it's not our fault it rains and the water runs that's mother nature not our problem. It's bad enough our landlord keeps going up on our lot rent , it's higher than our trailer payment . Plain and simple if my son was not in a good school and it's not Christiansburg either we would not live in Montgomery County it's to expensive to live in this county and I tell everyone the same thing. C, burg has the best l.e.o. around. As so the m.c.s.o. ! I really would like to see more improvement on the streets in town. And strongly disagree the storm water tax the town levied on the town citiz...en's. They need to tax mother nature or the town it's self. It's the parking lots and the drainage in our roads. Don't penalize the citizen's of c,burg for the growth. How bout capturing some if the money from tech from the aquatic center ? Just saying. See More

It's super quiet up here.. nothing like back home in Miami, Fl & everything is so close literally just have to go around the corner to get some food, hit up the mall, etc. I love when I get to visit

It's peaceful, lots of nature. Not over built, and close to other localities. A great place to live, a great place to raise a family !

I've heard that the main use for money collected from the new storm water tax will be to pay the salary of a storm water management bureaucrat. Could this be true??

Talking all things snow removal with our Public Works Department - and even taking a plow out for a spin. Stay safe out there!

We're a little late to #EngineerWeek celebrations, but we can't let an opportunity to brag on our Engineering Department slip by. Engineering affects every aspect of our lives, from the roads we drive on, to the public facilities we share, to the water we use. We are lucky to have an awesome team of engineers at Town Hall who are always working hard to make life in Christiansburg even better than it's been. To learn more about some of the exciting projects they're working on, please visit

Join us for the second annual cleanup of the Diamond Hills Conservation Area from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 24! The Town is partnering with ReNew the New and the New River Valley Regional Commission for this event.

Participants will meet at the end of Scattergood Drive NW. Please carpool if possible, as parking is limited. Please follow signage to the parking area. Trash will be collected along Crab Creek and then along the Diamond Hills Conservation Area stream. and water will be provided. Gloves will also be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Don't forget to dress comfortably!

We're hoping for a warm, sunny spring day, but a rain date has been tentatively scheduled for April 14. See you out there!
