Hello MAC students, faculty and friends! This Friday, the first film in the USI Tournées Film will feature Ma vie de Courgette [My Life as a Zucchini]. Please help me kick off our semster by joining me this Friday, January 19, at 7pm in Forum I for a screening of this award-winning film.
The screening will be free and open to the public, so bring your family and friends. The film will be in French with English sub-titles. This film was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film at the Academy Awards, and it received the European Film Award for Best Animated Feature Film (2016) and the Satellite Award for Best Animated or Mixed Media Feature.

Please join us for the CORE 39 Speaker Series presentation by Dr. Judith Hoover, professor emerita of communication at Western Kentucky University and author of Beyond Monongah: An Appalachian Tale. This Kirkus Best Book of 2016 tells the story of a family and community in the aftermath of the Monongah coal mining disaster, still considered the worst in American history. This event is cosponsored by the Master of Arts in Communication.
