Many people believe that teen physical health is the key to a healthy adult, but they’re missing an essential part: teen mental health. Without physical health and mental health, a teen cannot reach their full potential and grow into a healthy adult. You may be thinking teen mental health issues are rare, but that’s a very common misconception–more than 1 in 5 children face serious mental health struggles at some point. This is a real issue and it continues to be neglected globally.

We can't praise our nursing staff enough for all that they do here at ViewPoint! Not only do they provide great medical care, they also provide engaging, fun activities for our students.

"Getting an assessment for autism is a thorough and important process. It requires many different moving parts because autism spectrum disorder is complicated—and there’s no medical test that can give you a positive or negative reading."

National Jelly Bean Day is tomorrow!! So our amazing Nursing Supervisor, Jess set up a game of Bean Boozled. Bean Boozled is not for the faint at heart!! That jelly bean could be Rotten Milk or Coconut and you won't know until you stick it in your mouth!!! The kids loved it!!
"Processing issues in teens are still largely mysterious in how they’re caused. There are so many things linked to processing issues in teens–drugs, alcohol use, ADHD–and now there’s one more, according to a new study. Obesity among youth is increasing and so is high blood pressure. While we already know this can have significant effects on physical health, it looks like it can have serious effects on mental health as well. Psych Central recently reported on this new development in understanding causes of processing issues in teens."

"Before ViewPoint, families are often frustrated and lost. Varying doctors and therapists with a range of advice, diagnoses, and plans leaves parents and children unsure of where to turn. At ViewPoint we centralize all of the different diagnoses, and create a comprehensive report for you and your family to get back on track."
"Positive thinking could change your overall wellness for the better.
Yes, I know that sounds like a hoax or something you’d see in a motivational novel, but more and more studies are showing the power of positive thinking. Turns out, training your mind to look at the positive side of things before the negative may have mental and physical benefits."

"Depending on what your family is looking for, help for troubled teens can be hard to find. It can take days, weeks, even months to find a treatment program that’s the perfect fit for your specific child.
No individual is the same, which means no program is able to fit the needs of every teen. Which is why there’s the need for individualized help for troubled teens–this is why ViewPoint Center exists."
