The Care Closet now has 271 followers. With that many folks seeing our posts we should not have any problems getting some much needed items. We are in NEED of the following: Baby hangers, Baby Girl clothing and Men's tennis shoes up to size 13 / 14 I ask that you hold off on bringing in woman's clothing, our closet is WAY over FULL of women's clothing at this time. Thank You all very much for your continued support of the closet.
WOW WOW WOW is all I can say about the amount of items that were collected during the food and personal care items drive last week. A HUGE Thank You to Alexis Hoch and Emily (sorry I didn't get her last name) who belong to the National Honors Society, for all of their help during and after the drive. They not only placed all the boxes in all the schools for the drive they also sorted EVERYTHING after the drive and put ALL the food items away. I personally can't thank you ladies enough for all your help. I'm so proud of the both of you and ALL of your classmates in each school, for making this drive such a huge success.

Staff and students. If there is anything that you think we need in the Vikings' Care Closet (The Vikings' Care Closet) please post it here on our page. Please note Cathys post below for the need of socks, boy and girls undies and elastic waist pants.
Please remember when making a clothing donation to the Care Closet, first ask if we are in need of clothing. Second, I can not stress enough that we can only use gently used, clean clothing. If it has holes, tears, stains or stinks, we can not use it. I had to toss a lot of clothing from the past 7 months of donations. We did however take that clothing to another donation site where they shred it up and use it for insulation. It took approximately 20 hours to sort, organize and hang what we were able to keep and sort through what we had to toss.
As always, we greatly appreciate all donations we receive and want to Thank You for thinking of us.
Another 5 hours combined between my daughter Sara and I working in the care closet. We finally have cleared off the big table and all the food is sorted and put away. It's now back to normal in there. It was a lot of work, but the reward is great. My hope is that all the students and their families that use the closet will enjoy being able to find what they need in our nicely organized and clean space.
