When it comes to restaurants, there is more to a place than just the food. The food is a large part of the equation, but the atmosphere and the people are truly the secret sauce and a huge part of th...e equation. when it comes to the Village Coffee Shop, it's the perfect storm where amazing food, meets amazing service and a byproduct of both is amazing atmosphere. We live in Arizona, and this is a must visit any and every time we are in Colorado. Thank you for being everything that is great about our country, family owned and operated business that has it's fingers firmly on the pulse of its community. We are fans for life! See More

Hands-down best breakfast in Boulder. Shanna, Diane, Fiona, Pat and Ryan make your mornings awesome while serving up some of the best greasy-spoon eats you'll ever find. Its all good, but the Spanish ...Omelette and the Blueberry pancakes are my personal go-to's. See More

I've frequented this place since I was in High School . Friendly atmosphere and classic diner layout that is hard to find, particularly in Boulder ... Great place for breakfast or lunch !

The best. Unpretentious, straightforward, great service, excellent food. The only thing I miss about moving away from Boulder.

Always a packed house at an iconic Boulder landmark. The meals are straight up great, no frills. The art is in the taste and the atmosphere. Don't bother if you're expecting special treatment or lo...ts of elbow room, because it's small and wall to wall people, first come-first served. The owner is fantastic, people are friendly, eclectic and easy going. Regulars have the simple priveldge of being known and they probably know what they want for food. I would also say that it is a reflection of what Boulder was and what it's real heart is. If you are patient you'll get a seat, then enjoy! Hope it never changes! See More

Incredibly affordable. Fastest food I've ever received. I didn't think to time it, but I hadn't put cream in my coffee by the time my eggs were there. Traditional american breakfast food. I had the ha...lf order of biscuits and gravy, basic egg combo with toast and browns, and a coffee. Browns were nice and crunchy, sausage gravy was full of flavor and lots of sausage. Eggs were eggs. Cooked like I ordered, but you know what they taste like. I don't need to describe them. My combo was $6.00 my biscuit and gravy was $3.00 and the coffee brought me to a hand written $10 total. (Which I believe is because I told them it was my first time in, felt like I got a free coffee). Very affordable. Insanely timely. Traditional American Breakfast. Nice staff. Owner is cooking eggs with a smile on his face. Highly recommend. Wish I lived in Boulder, if only for this staple. See More

The Village Rocks! Best darn breakfast in Boulder in my opinion. Love the old time diner feel to the place. The waitstaff are funny, energetic, and very kind. Don't be afraid to let them know that... you are a "Village Virgin." See More

Friendly staff and killer food. It was my buddy and I first time in there since we were next door buying records and had some time to kill and now every time I go to Boulder I will be eating here.

Love the village coffee shop. I have been going there since the 80s and still recognize some of the staff from back then. We drove all the way from Southeast Denver just to get the hashbrowns

The blueberry pancakes are the best! I love the option of Spam as one of the meat choices, too. Great staff and the 'cooks' are wonderful.

What a great, small - greasy spoon. I wasn't sure about this place, but it was delicious. I too love the option to swap out tomatoes for hash browns. Added to our repertoire of breakfast places!!

It is still every bit as good today as it was when I started going there in College. It was a fixture for us during my first job after college at Gat's. Recently I got to make oldest son for his firs...t visit and it was still great. See More
