On order from the Governor of the State of Ohio to show respect and honor, we have flown our flags at 1/2 staff on public properties in Richfield, to remember fallen Westerville Police Officers, Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli. May these brave heroes rest in peace.

Tragically, on order from the President of the United States as an act of solemn respect, we also are flying our flags at 1/2 staff to remember and honor the victims who were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Our sincere condolences to those killed, the young lives lost, the families, the communities, the children and teachers who mourn, police officers and first responders on these two horrific and sad events.

Last night at the Village of Richfield Council meeting, Police Officer Tony Padula, received an award called a Challenge Coin from Cleveland Clinic Akron General for his life saving efforts of a resident by performing CPR and using an AED. Minutes later our paramedics arrived on scene to continue ACLS on the patient. Officer Padula was presented this award by Kathy Cern, EMS Coordinator and Dr. Andrew Dream. We are all very proud and offer congratulations and say thank you to Officer Padula.
