This is a message from Ben Nilson: "Can anyone point me towards thanksgiving service opportunities for me and my family? It's my wife and myself and our 4 children age 10 and under. I don't have time to fill out volunteer forms at a dozen places. Thanks."

Quail Ridge Sporting Clays
2401 S. McLoud Road
The Davis-Funk family 4-year old daughter, Lily, was born with Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Which means she has only half of a heart! Although Lily has had four open heart surgeries (the first at only 8 days old), she is still being fed through a feeding tube directly into her stomach. She has gone into cardiac arrest twice in one day causing severe damage to her heart. She has survived a stroke which has affected her speech and also rendered the entire right side of her body very weak. She is so full of life and is always smiling. Lily is currently going through extensive therapy to help her regain mobility and strength and her speech is improving. Lily is extremely strong willed and highly intelligent!! She has so much love for all and is truly a blessing. Lily is in need of a heart transplant and funds to afford her surgery as well as her after surgery care.

Sunbeam would like to give a huge thank you to all of our volunteers and staff who helped make our 2015 Oklahoma City Educare Carnival a big success! Hundreds o...f children and their families were able to celebrate the start of summer - running through obstacle courses, dancing, eating tons of pizza, splashing in the water, digging in the sand, playing with wild animals and learning about fire safety with our community firemen. It was a huge hit! #WeAreFamily

As Senior Corps Week comes to a close, we would like to recognize one of our remarkable Senior Companion Program volunteers, Clemmie Farris, who served several ...years in our program, establishing profound relationships with our clients. Not only was Clemmie a great friend to our clients, but a relief to their families. The family of one of Clemmie’s companions described him as “an incredible gentleman who selflessly committed enormous amounts of his personal time being a loyal friend.” Thank you to Clemmie and all our Senior Companion volunteers for your service and for enriching the lives of our senior clients! #SeniorCorpWorks
