While having a pin shoot on the fourth sounds like a great idea to some of us... We won't be holding our pin match. We'll start up again the next week with revolvers. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
Hey everyone! Registration is up on PractiScore for WDSA's pistol match. Remember this will be a regular pistol match. "Not-IDPA". We've kept the round count per stage low enough that anyone will be able to use their normal IDPA gear. Nothing crazy! Sign up so we have a good idea of who can make it. Come have some fun!
Yes it's the same Saturday as the black rifle shoot. Sorry about that. We were changing it because we still wanted to do a match at wasatch and we'll be shooting snake river regional on the day we usually do ours. It was the only day available so I do apologize. I would like to shoot black gun too.
There will be 5 or 6 stages
Hey everyone! We're gonna change up our IDPA match this month. It will be on the 24th which is the 4th Saturday and it will be a regular pistol match. Not an IDPA match. If you've ever shot a pistol match at the farm with UDPL then you'll have an idea of what it's like. PCC is fine too.
There will be lots of steel, a few paper and no cover or concealment. Scoring will be time + points. We won't get crazy with round count. Max of 25 shots per stage. 5 or 6 stages.
We're just... trying something a little different to see how it goes.
Check in will start at 8. Safety brief at 830. Shooting at 9. If you can or would like to help set up, we'll be there on the day before around 2 pm to set up.
We'll resume our regular IDPA match in July on the 3rd Saturday as usual.
Thanks and we'll see you there!
Happy Memorial Day everyone!
Please take a moment to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. To protect our way of life and our great country. God bless.
There's been a few questions about the calendar. IDPA is almost always the 3rd Saturday of every month. June is gonna be shifted around a bit because we'll be in Idaho that Saturday at the regional match. I'll get more specifics in a week or so.
$20 if you're a member of the WSA range $25 if you're not. Standard IDPA equip. If you're not sure what that is. There are oodles of videos on you tube!
Check in and equipment check starts at 8. Safety brief and new shooter orientation at 8:30. Shooting starts at 9.
Round count is almost always around 100. I always bring 200.
Our pin shoot has been moved outdoors-to the WSA range also. Every Tuesday from 6-8pm. $10 for members $12 for non-members.
Hey y'all, big thanks to all who make it out to our pin shoots! We have a great group of shooters and lots of help doing these matches.
Just a heads up- we're tentatively planning our annual change of venue for the summertime. The plan is to move the pin shoot outdoors for the summer months. Starting in May. It will be at the wasatch range in Fruit Heights. Same time but it will move to Tuesday nights. Hopefully this will be an easy switch for the majority of the shooters. This is the only week night possible at this range. If anyone is unfamiliar with wasatch, you can find directions on their website-search WSA Range.
Thanks again, shoot safe and often!!
There's been questions about where and when our matches/fun shoots are being held. So we put on the calendar all of our shoots for the month. Every Thursday night at the Red Dot range in Layton we do the pin shoot. Every 3rd Saturday we have IDPA at the wasatch range in Fruit Heights. All are welcome to come join us!
We wish to send out a big "Thank You" to all who participated in our IDPA Match this month, and especially to those that helped us set up Friday night, and who were able to help tear down after the match. You all make it possible, and we greatly appreciate your support! We look forward to seeing you all again next month, same time , same place, always on the 3rd Saturday of the month at the WSA Range in Kaysville! If you are not on our IDPA email distribution list, email to us at email@example.com, and let us know you would like to be on the list!
Thank you, and happy "Safe" shooting!!!
WPPC has a plate shoot on Sundays from 1130 to 2ish in the afternoon at the wasatch range in fruit heights. Sometimes just the plate racks, sometimes we'll get out the Texas stars. Sometimes it's the combo platter!
