Clean MyRide to Clean MyRide group

So how do you choose a charity to support?

There are hundreds of thousands of #charities in the UK and each and every one of us have our own reasons to support ...the ones we choose. We are bombarded with donation based advertising from some very worthy causes, despite some of the bad press of late, from every corner of the world across every channel from TV to door drops, tin rattlers to digital advertising, events to high street shops....the list goes on and on and on and on.

Well, here's our story about the charities we decided to support. Let's begin with British Biker Relief Foundation. We'll tell you about our cycling charity in another post.

Clean MyRide got its membership pack from #BBRF last year. So we are now not only a proud member, but also a supporter moving forward of this incredible charity and its volunteers who work tirelessly to help bikers and very importantly their families after serious or fatal road traffic accidents.

So why did Clean MyRide choose British Biker Relief Foundation?

When Steve and I first began on our journey with Clean MyRide, Steve was adamant on supporting a charity through the business with our #cycle #bikewash and #degreaser. World Bicycle Relief was the charity we decided to support with our #cycle product. Our #motorcycle #bikewash and #degreaser needed an equally relevant #charity to support.

The research began and we eventually discovered BBRF. Must confess it was a tough decision but having weighed up all the factors including not localising our support, relevance to bikers, the work they do, the support, passion and staffed by biking volunteers etc. This charity won our hearts. Amazing stories of how the charity has helped bikers and their families after serious accidents or fatalities, sealed the deal for Steve and I. It's one of those risks you live with (hopefully) being a #biker. The thrill, shear enjoyment and freedom far outweigh the risks we take every time we straddle our rides, turn the ignition key, kick it into first gear and ride off down the road. Thankfully there are people like British Biker Relief Foundation who are there when we don't come home when expected or worse, don't come home at all.

Clean MyRide are proud to support the amazing work of British Biker Relief Foundation with a donation from every sale of our #motorcycling #bikewash and #degreaser moving forward. As Clean MyRide grows so will the funds we provide to the BBRF team.

Check out their website at http://www.bbrf.co.uk/ or give them a follow and a like on Facebook at http://facebook.com/B.B.R.F.official We know Steve, Andy, Jules and the rest of the team will appreciate it.

Thanks for reading, ride safe and have a great spring/summer/riding season 👍

This makes me sad

It seems that fate has dealt us a cruel blow and looks like we won’t get the opportunity to say goodbye to the bash with grand finale befitting of its 30something year history, I for one will truly miss it, its like it’s been there my whole life! Having had to wait until now to find out has left us without enough time to put on an alternative event in 2018 but rest assured we learnt so much in the four years that we ran the bash that we are adamant that we ...aren’t going to let those lessons go to waste and we will be doing something else, somewhere else in 2019. We thank you all for your continued support and the thanks and good comments we’ve had from you all since taking over the bash was overwhelming at times but greatly appreciated and made all of our efforts more than worth while! It seems we got it right with our “back to the biker basics” approach to it!? These pages and groups will remain in place as a place for you and us to share bulldog memories and photos etc and so all of us can stay in contact with some of the kindred spirits we’ve come to meet and become good friends with along the way! And when we’ve decided the direction we go next and have the next event plan in place, we will let you lot know first!
From me and my Ashfield brothers and the brothers from other charters that worked with us to bring you the last four bulldogs A HUGE Thanks to you all! We will be back!!!
