I had the privilege of talking with Keith Maupin today when I stopped by to drop off cards that the kids at school made for the soldiers. Keith is always so grateful for anything that is donated. It... could be candy, toiletries, money, or just hand drawn cards/letters from kids. His true passion is to help our soldiers. Thanks for all you do Keith! See More

Very sad news. Please keep the families & brothers & sisters in arms in your prayers.

Awful news this morning.

The incident does not appear to be the result of enemy fire. The crash is under investigation.

A Special Forces soldier stationed at Fort Bragg received the Army’s highest honor for heroism outside of combat this week.

How cool is this????The YRSC received this message from an Aussie hero... she’s hoping to get something similar started over there.

Thank you all for your continued support! 🎗

Troop on the Stoop

Each year we give a portion of our proceeds from each battle buddy sold to Yellow Ribbon Support Center. We’ve always told Keith that we wanted to present him with an oversized check. Last year it was just a normal sized check. Today, we made it happen🎗🇺🇸

This is what we do!

The Yellow Ribbon Support Center will host the 13th Annual Let Us Never Forget Scholarship Dinner on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland. This annual formal dinner, held each year on the Saturday closest to April 9 (the anniversary of SSG Matt Maupin’s capture), raises funds for scholarships to honor the memories of fallen heroes with ties to the Ohio–Kentucky–Indiana Tri-State area. Since it began in 2006, more than $600,000 in s...cholarships have been given to deserving area high school students.

**All funds raised will determine the amount of the scholarships awarded. More details to come on vendors, raffle items, etc.**

The Yellow Ribbon Support Center offers scholarships in the names of the Fallen Heroes of Iraq and Afghanistan wars from the Tri-State area. The Gold Star Parents choose the school they want the scholarship to go to; then any senior can apply. The parents then choose the winner, and YRSC will send the check for the scholarship to the student directly.

This Fundraiser was started after Matt Maupin was captured in Iraq. Matt was missing for 4 years while his parents sent care packages to the troops with his picture in the boxes hoping that someone would see him. Each year on April 9th there was a gathering of family & friends to make sure Matt was not forgotten. It was decided that the scholarship dinner should be about all the Fallen Heroes with ties to the Tri-State area. On April 9th 2006 the first fundraiser was put together and held with $0.00 budget. In 2008 one soldier from every state was honored, for the next 4years. This ended after the local list grew so large we could no longer meet the need. We still honor those who come from out of state each year. This year we will be honored to have guests from Washington, Georgia, South Carolina, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Illinois.

When the fundraiser was started there were only 28 Tri-State fallen heroes; to date there are 102 Tri-State fallen heroes eligible to have scholarships given in their names. Parents who choose to have them honored with a scholarship support the event.

You can help by attending, donating and/or volunteering. Corporate sponsors are also welcome.
