Updates!
After going through editing I've decided there are some important things I need to add to Prisoner, a few extra scenes and developments. This should really help add another layer and give the book a bit more action, as I would say it's leaning toward the exposition side in some places. That said, there won't be huge shifts in the basic plot, so it shouldn't take me very long to make the updates. My goal is to publish to Amazon before the end of January.
Also, many pe...ople have been asking about the audiobook. I haven't heard from Podium Publishing, though they do have the right of first refusal concerning the audio rights for Prisoner. I intend to reach out to them once I have a finalized transcript. No work has been done on it yet, so do not expect the audiobook to release at the same time as the eBook version on Amazon. The audiobook for Contractor took about 6 or 7 months to complete after I sent them the final transcript.
It would be amazing if Luke Daniels could make a return as the narrator - something MANY people have expressed interest in. If Podium doesn't work out, I'll see about getting in touch with him directly concerning his availability. A ton of people have told me how they got into Contractor specifically because of his narrating the first book, so I'm motivated to make that happen. If it comes to a 1-on-1 between myself and him, I'd have to fund it myself in all likelihood, so that will definitely make for a delay until the eBook sells enough to pay for it.
If no other options pan out, I have also considered narrating the book myself, but that would be a last-resort option. I'm well-spoken but by no means a professional in that area, so it would be somewhat of a gamble. I'm confident I could do at least a passable job, but I don't want -ok-, I want excellent! So I'll keep that one under my hat after exhausting all other possibilities.
