Wide stock sometimes surprising to the max, but always friendly staff and helpful. RSD events are the best in Glasgow.

I love the feel of Monorail and the MonoCafe. You see stock in Monorail that you never seem to see in other record shops. Such variety. it is a major understatement to say that the friendly staff know... their stuff. It is wonderful to chat music and to be able to purchase a range of aural gems. During this visit I came away with some Ennio Morricone and Lee Hazlewood. Thank you Monorail! See More

What a happy Friday afternoon in Glasgow. I got lost in Monorail's great selection, leaving happily with Nils Frahm, Fenessz, Max Richter and Steve Reich under my arm. Also, carefully packed, with c...overs on the sleeves :-).
I know I could live in Glasgow now (I know there are many other good reasons too).

go and buy some records
Our association with Molly Nilsson goes back to when he first heard her LP The Travels, perhaps, but definitely when we hosted her at our first Monorail festival, A Weekend Abroad. Since then, it's been a joy to witness her songs reach further, travelling the globe and touching hearts. Her latest, 7th studio album Imaginations, is our Album Of The Month and we are excited to introduce this essential songwriter to new listeners. Each copy of Imaginations comes with a unique signed postcard by Molly, while stocks last.

Proud moment. Living Wage accreditation plaque. We’re official. Thanks Living Wage Scotland and Living Wage Foundation.
