For the March meeting of the Pamunkey Woman's Club, our Art Department's program was "Creating Beauty and Appreciating Health Care"! Members made flower arrangements to be delivered to local care facilities. We were all given instructions, flowers, vases and turned lose. It was fun and they turned out great! These finished arrangements along with a note from the club were delivered to Autumn Care, Covenant Woods, Hanover Adult Day Care, Hanover Health Care, Heritage Green, Memorial Regional Hospital and The Crossings. Hope they enjoyed them!!
At the Pamunkey November meeting Deputy Jim McLaughlin from the Hanover Sheriff's Office, talked with us about taking steps for personal safety. He went into your street sense, identity theft and some general safety tips. He also shared the "File for Life" tool with our members and distributed kits to all members. Thank you Deputy McLaughlin!

The October Meeting of the Pamunkey Woman's Club was outstanding. Our guests from the Hanover Sheriffs Office K-9 Unit did a wonderful job sharing on how they train their dogs. They talked about the difference between patrol and bloodhound dogs and we got to meet a couple of their dogs. Thank you to Sergeant Drew Spain, Sergeant Todd Brooks & (Hamma), and Deputy Braxton Reed (& Kojak). The club ladies also stuffed goodie bags to deliver to the Sheriffs Office to thank them for their service to our community.
Great program last night!!
Pamunkey Womens Club (GFWC) had THREE (of their 4) Hanover K-9 Officers and dogs come to speak and teach us about patrol and bloodhound dogs, their cost, training, and how the vehicles have automatic temperature modifications in place.

Speakers Kathy and Dana Wood shared about their business, The Thrill of the Hunt - located in Ashland with the Pamunkey Woman's Club on March 20th. Kathy demonstrated using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to up-cycle furniture. Great ideas were shared and everyone is excited to do their next DIY project!
Pamunkey Woman's Club celebrated its 85th Anniversary at the March Club meeting! It is hard to believe that a group of eight (8) ladies got together in 1932 and decided to start a club and officially join the General Federation of Woman's Clubs. Congratulations to all past and current club members for 85 years of serving our community! Thank you!
