OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is hosting a summer fling for soap fans as the network has acquired the first 40 episodes of The OnLine Network’s reprisal of the popular daytime dramas “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” for a special exclusive 10-week limited engagement. Half-hour episodes of each show will air Monday through Thursday beginning Monday, July 15 with “All My Children” at 1 p.m. ET/PT and “One Life to Live” at 3 p.m. ET/PT only on OWN.

Will you be tuning in?

Starting next week the entire week's worth of AMC, OLTL, and the More Shows will be available on Monday. The new schedule means that TOLN will run all episodes on Mondays, and not stagger runs of ‘All My Children’ on Mondays/Wednesdays, ‘One Life to Live’ on Tuesdays/Thursdays and ‘MORE AMC/OLTL’ on Fridays. Now viewers will be able to choose to watch one episode each day or binge view some or all of that week’s shows at once starting each Monday. Together with the MORE sh...ows, viewers can play or save up to six TOLN programs per week—all available on Mondays – providing even more flexibility to watch anytime, and anywhere.

Will this change the way you watch your shows? Will you binge watch or spread them out? Will you watch both episodes of one show and then watch the 2 episodes of the other? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

STATEMENT BELOW FROM TOLN:

“As a result of a dispute with the I.A.T.S.E., The OnLine Network is beginning a long-planned hiatus for both ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life To Live’ tomorrow instead of June 17. The hiatus is scheduled to end on August 12 pending resolution of this labor issue. Right now we have 40 episodes of each show ready to post through September, and if we can resolve this issue by August, we can get back into the studio on time so audiences will enjoy uni...nterrupted postings of their favorite shows.

We believe we have met all contract requirements with I.A.T.S.E, and as an internet start-up, and per our contract with the I.A., we cannot afford, and our business model cannot sustain, traditional broadcast rates.

The writers, directors, actors and rest of crew have been supportive of the shows and our success. Both ‘One Life To Live’ and ‘All My Children’ consistently earn top rankings on both Hulu and iTunes since launch just over a month ago. The popularity of the shows is matched by the continued passion and excitement from the fans. We are committed to these shows, and to the nearly 300 jobs they produce, thus we are exploring every legal and logistical option to maintain our production schedule.”
