Posting another one because I can't resist and because it's midnight. This whole juggling of mommy-hood and work is so tricky and I'm not sure how anyone does it or if anyone is actually doing it well. School forms, clean clothes, real dinners, emails, editing, forgotten birthday parties, relationships - from the small to the big, so many things fall through the cracks. Most days I'm ok with that because life and grace. All the grace. But other times, it feels incredibly overwhelming and I'm so grateful there are people I can send desperate texts to - their words and their lives, they anchor me.
And Baby Luca, because he's cute and makes me smile.
Last year around this time, we went to our first Meet + Greet for Kaya's preschool class. As usual, Kaya went straight to the play dough table and we met another little girl also playing with play dough. The girls quickly became friends, and I'm so grateful because now we know her family, and they're pretty awesome.
I love this photo so much because most days life with little ones is insane and all consuming, and you don't always make time for each other, but even with of all that, I love the way she looks at him.
