So I've been playing around with super cheap 1st Generation Night Vision Monocular which I got at Contact in the Desert for like $150. Now typically when we see a video of strange stuff its short with $3000 to $4000 third generation stuff but... You actually don't need 3rd generation to catch odd things. A couple of weeks ago I set up the "Urban Patrol" here to just record for awhile since it has an onboard micro sd card and well... I found two things. One is clearly a satellite because it looks like a satellite and there was a satellite in the sky according to the monitor. The second is a bit odder - WAY fainter seems to jiggle a little and there was NO SATELLITE anywhere on my horizon at the time.
SO - here is the raw video. The object comes in from the top (North) in the middle of the top and flys at an angle to the bottom (South) and exits about midway across the bottom.
If you are curious I used a Urban Patrol by @BeringOptics (http://beringoptics.com/catalog/?goods=180) 1st generation night vision scope with the illuminator set I think to 2 and 1x zoom.
Not bad for $150!
