We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time at Parma Cucina in the Hillcrest area last night. Our waitress Tatanna was informative, gracious, attentive and as adorable as one could be. Our food was s...o good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere enjoyable. What more could you ask fo than great food, great service, great friends? A good time for all that’s what. See More

My friend kept talking about this restaurant while we were in San Diego for vacation. We had our last dinner that night at Parma. I regretfully wish we would have tried it multiple times. It was (for... me) the most authentic and delicious Italian I've ever experienced. The staff was VERY friendly. We loved our waitress Rosario! Great recommendations... Fyi.. even during colder weather you'll be very comfortable if seated outside. See More

This place is just DELICIOUS. We (bf and I) live nearby and usually end up craving the Tortellini Pasticciati at least once every one or two weeks. The service feels authentic, nothing over the top, a...lways respectful of your time and space. The gentleman who seems to manage is always friendly and accommodating.

It's hard to break out and try something new but the other four dishes we've tried have also been delicious. The lasagna is perfect, the Arrabbiata is amazing and the environment is quaint and simple.

Great food! We ordered 4 pasta dishes and two proteins. I preferred the pasta. The pasta was a little overcooked for my taste but the sauces were fantastic! Great food, great service, great value.

The wife and I have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, and the food is delucious. It's probably a good thing we live in Riverside, or we would always be here.

We had great service and the food buonissimo!
We all had the specials: fresh pasta and sublime sauces made the dishes creamy, blending distinct flavors into a savory memory and the roast pork was like butter.

Excellent food and even better service! Highly recommend getting a reservation, as the restaurant is very small--but it makes for a nice cozy atmosphere! We were seated quickly, and given a table outs...ide with a heater, but since we had a reservation, when one table opened up inside as we sat down, they moved us inside. Between the polenta, the penne salsiccia and the house favorite lasagna, I couldn't tell you what was the best. And the tiramisu!! A steal of a dinner, with most dishes under $20, you really can't go wrong. See More

great dishes, many specials on any given day, not too crowded, tables not close together for that sardine feeling, prompt service by far was their best attribute! our waiter even had an italian accent... i was like oh damn. See More

What a gem!. Parma is an intimate restaurant and reservations are highly encouraged. I've had three meals there and I have not been disappointed one bit.

I popped in after the typical dinner rush ...last night and I was surprised it was still busy. Lucky for us, they had one table available so we took it.

This time around I had the Penne Salsiccia. The penne was cooked just how I like it, and although I expected a sausage link, the sausage was actually ground into a red sauce. It was a good portion which left me full and content.

In the past I've tried the Polpette al Sugo which is a meatball dish with a cream sauce and veggies. I've also had the mushroom ravioli. Although I noticed it wasn't on the menu last night.

Price wise- appetizer, two dinners and one wine came out to just over $50. Although I'm not sure if that included the servers tip.

All in all- Parma is becoming my go to Italian restaurant when I'm in Hillcrest. Check it out!

Such a treasure in Hillcrest. Small, cozy, family owned restaurant that will blow you away with hospitable, 5 star service.
All of the staff is wonderful. You are catered to and made to feel welcome ...during your dining experience.
The wine and menu selections are fantastic.
Everything is authentic and homemade. You would think you were in Italy the flavours are so delicious.
I had the pork that was braised for 4 hours. It melted in my mouth. The mash potatoes creamy, buttery with garlic. All the seasonings blend for the perfect, decadent tasteful, dining pleasure.

Shut up about the tiramasu. The best!!!! Love this neighborhood pot of gold!

Wife and I have been twice now and love it. Very good food and excellent service. Fresh pasta is the best. Try the chefs specials. Come early or call. It is quite small with fewer than 15 tables.

We absolutely LOVED this restaurant. Everything was so delicious that we are still talking about it. The service was fantastic from the host to the servers. You HAVE to try their specials. While I'm s...ure they change I can say with good certainty that you will not regret it. And lastly, when you get the bill you will be shocked that you had such amazing food and it didn't cost you your entire paycheck!! Highly highly recommend this place. Wish we had one back home! I just had my 7 year anniversary dinner at Parma Cucina Italiana. I thought they were very professional and the food was excellent quality!! Very courteous and prompt service by our waiter. And for de...ssert, they were so kind as to write Happy Anniversary in chocolate on the plate! Very cool touch! i just moved here from out of state and trust me i did my research and found very positive comments about this place. So, i am glad i took the advice and now have another beautiful memory to add to the list!!
Thank you!
Ciao!
