At 12:43am this morning, The Laurel Fire Dept along with SCEMS were ...alerted for a MVC on Bethel Rd. It was reported to be 2 vehicles head on one car on fire. Ambulance 81 arrived and confirmed the report, one car well involved with no entrapment possible exposure to the second vehicle. 814 went responding with 3. Due to limited manpower 814 started Station 71 Blades for an engine assist. Tanker 71 made a response. 814 arrived and pulled a front bumper line and made an attack on the fire. T71 arrived couple minutes after and assisted Engine 4s crew with extinguishment and supplied E4. Once the fire was knocked, crews remained on scene for over 2 hours for clean up and the arrival of the tow company. All units returned when ready. Ambulance 81 obtained a refusal, Ambulance 87 transported to Nanticoke.
