Photo Cascadia shared David M. Cobb Photography's post.
Photo Cascadia team members David M. Cobb Photography and Sean Bagshaw Photography recently conducted a photo tour of Croatia and Slovenia. Getting to this spot before any people gathered below took an hour of walking in the dark and morning light. This is the image David M. Cobb Photography came up with from this perspective. Luka Esenko Photography from Slovenia had the timing right here for the fall color.
To get to this spot before people showed up below took an hour of walking in the dark and early morning light. It sure was worth it for this fall colored view o...f a waterfall in Plitvice National Park, Croatia. This was from a recent photo tour of Slovenia and Croatia where I teamed with Sean Bagshaw Photography & Luka Esenko Photography. Fun was had by all!
See MoreJust finishing up some of the recent images from my travels to Canada and Upstate NY. A weeks ago I posted a video of the stunning sunrise I saw from Niagara Falls in on the Canada side. Well I am now posting the image from that morning..
Thanks everyone for the comments and sharing.

Check out fellow Photo Cascadia member and f-stop Gear staff pro Erin Babnik Photography doing her thing in the Alps!
Have a look at this amazing shot of Staff Pro Erin Babnik Photography of Photo Cascadia while she is researching her upcoming workshop in the French Alps. Here ...is what she has to say about her Sukha:
''I spend about 300 days of each year traveling for my photography, with much of that time devoted to alpine excursions. This lifestyle demands a backpack that can carry a lot of essentials in addition to my camera gear, that can withstand a lot of use in rugged environments, and that can give me convenient access to my gear at all times. My Sukha works the way I do and helps me to cover a lot of ground with a great amount of security and convenience."

Don't rule out photographing on blue-sky days, because you can still get some great light. David M. Cobb Photography lists 10 reasons why in the newest Photo Cascadia blog.

My latest article for Photo Cascadia talks about finding your own story and composition within photography.
Photo Cascadia shared Sean Bagshaw Photography's post.
Sean Bagshaw Photography gives an impression of the recent solar eclipse. He photographed the eclipse itself in Madras, Oregon, but the conditions were too smoky to capture the landscape well. Instead, he composited the sun into a night shot of Mt. Shasta he took a few years ago. It isn't real, but hopefully, it tells a good fantasy.
So, here is an image I created of the 2017 Solar Eclipse. My son and I made a last minute dash up to Madras, Oregon Sunday night to go eclipse hunting. Our frie...nds, Ben and Kelly, were super kind to let us park the Falcon in Kelly's parent's driveway for the night (please thank your folks again for me Kelly). This, of course, is not really what we saw. It is a photo illustration combining Monday's eclipse with an image of Mt. Shasta at night I took a few years ago. The smoke around Madras didn't allow me to get a good shot of nearby Mt. Jefferson while the eclipse was happening, and two minutes wouldn't have been enough to capture all the exposures I would have needed anyway. So, just for fun, I decided to create my own version of what the event might have been like if totality had occurred 300 miles further south. I also thought that a solar eclipse over Mt. Shasta image would go well with my Lunar Eclipse Over Mt. Shasta image from a couple years ago. I wanted to at least take a shot at representing what an awesome experience viewing the eclipse was...eerily dark, quiet and cold with the mesmerizing corona shimmering against the shadowy sky. It didn't get dark enough to see this many stars, but we were able to see Venus and a couple of the brightest stars during totality, which was astonishing in the middle of the day! The drive home was an adventure all its own. What took four and a half hours going up took almost 11 going home. We took every back road and 4x4 track we could find, but always ended up in a traffic jam wherever we went. Good time and a real life experience! Do you have an eclipse story?

This is an image from Mount Rainier National Park from last week. I have been going up to Mt Rainier for the last ten years and never seen anything quite like this for wildflowers and purple asters. This was taken after sunset when twilight color was setting in over the Tatoosh Range.
I hope you enjoy - Kevin McNeal
