Mile 450 of 450, 34 hours. Mission accomplished. #whatextent will you go for freedom?

I decided to cut the ride a bit short because I was about to be road kill in Los Angeles county. This place is definitely not suited for bicycling... Scary-ness!

What a journey this has been! And what can I say: Like any true quest, you start one way, and on the other end, you come out a completely new person. ...Stronger. Humbled. Thankful.

From the strawberry farms, the dry and desolate plains, the towering mountaintops, crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, the endless hills with endless false summits, headwinds, hot and cold, night and day, sunrise and sunset, the animals, the people, the cars, and all of God's creation. All of this coupled with a chaffed backside, sticky body odor, lots of cold meat sandwiches, sprites, PB&J, pub mix, and water.

I couldn't have done it without all of your support and encouragement, and the support of my dedicated and sleep-deprived team: Sonny Too, Sophine Too, Dan Ruckman, James Landa and Taylor Melody.

Just to think... This is #onlythebeginning

Thank you Jesus! To God be the glory forever and ever! Amen
