At our PNA general meeting last week, we were notified that PPS has proposed to shuffle student populations and facilities- including the Applegate school site in Piedmont.
This could mean dispersing the existing HeadStart and NAYA youth programs there, fencing that part of Farragut Park near the school, adapting street facilities for schoolhouses for bussing students, and most importantly- big decisions will be made about the future programming for the highest-needs special education students at Pioneer, and for the highly-gifted students at Access Academy. http://www.oregonlive.com/…/portland_superintendent_reveal.…
