Terrible customer service. Their system was unable to parse my full street address, (# SW _____ St.). The units were shipped and made it to my town from China... but then turned back over a span of about 5 weeks. Finally I reached out and and asked what happened and they said that the street address was missing and that they would refund me minus the shipping fees. In addition, they definitely had my phone number and the shipping company could have called me. They wasted my time and money, and refused to give me a full refund even the problem is with their order form. Avoid this company.

By the way they said they would refund me 11 days ago and I have still not received my partial refund.

I wanted a new "toy" that I could actually learn something at the same time. It's been fun figuring this thing out as well as poking around in Linux. The unit's... ship from China so little slow to get here, but my orders have always been 100% right and great quality parts. The chat board really makes things easier, as you can ask ANYTHING and get an answer quickly. I'd recommend this product to anyone! See More

Got my 2 pine64+ 2GB within a couple of weeks of ordering, direct from china where pretty much all SBCs come from, OS support isnt brilliant but at this point i...t still is better than the asus tinkerboard, would like to have seen better support for RHEL, the fedora 24 non-curated image doesnt work correctly at all, like its only using 1 of the 4 cores, the reason i bought these devices is to act as nodes in a larger docker/kubernetes cluster, for this reason i would have preferred to use RHEL but it seems that what i want to do is possible with the curated ubuntu image, which in comparison to the fedora image works much better. these devices are hardware and cost wise perfect for a low cost arm cluster i can see from the comments people have left that they are not having good experiences with these devices, because of this i am going to try and install android with kodi and retroarch to see how they perform as hardware wise they also seem like they should be capable, will report back about that at a later date. Terrible, I haven't found an operating system supported that works properly or quick enough to regard as (functioning). I could not get a RemixOS image to set o...n any SD card ( I have 5). The touch screen really didn't work. I purchased the 1 and 2gb models. When I got an OS up and running, neither android or Mate, or the other Linux distro could properly play a video. Audio and Video would go out of sync with Personal video files, and when I would try and watch a trailer I could only see the upper left quadrant of the video being displayed on the whole screen. Thank Longsleep trying his best with this board, it's garbage. See More

Great open source all in one do it yourself special. Having said that don't fall in love with any one OS. OLD STABLE Android 5.1.1 was and still is my favorit...e but being outdated and such It has been increasingly difficult to do simple things such as install netflix from the playstore. Your device isn't compatible with this version. It worked in the past just fine. I feel full control of this device slipping away one update at a time. If there was a way to take out version checks or something I know this little bugger has the hardware power to run much longer See More

Do not buy this, there are much better options out there with far better customer service and community support. Basically it's a $60 box that does nothing. Nou...gat runs but no Netflix. Marshmallow runs Netflix at 480. There are none of the built in features you get with raspian for development and projects. You want to run remix os? Go get a remix mini. Same specs, better packaging and features. Want android? Go side load a kindle fire. Developing or educating? Raspberry pi is light years ahead.

So unless you have some reason to buy this and put up with the almost non existent customer service... do yourself a favor and buy any other device. I am 3 weeks waiting on a Bluetooth module and don't even have a tracking number. They could take my money right away though! I ordered electronics from Taiwan and paid the same shipping with 4 day delivery! Still waiting on customer service to reply to one of the 5 emails I have tried to contact them about my product that was supposedly shipped over 3 weeks ago.

Bad performances, terrible software support. I bought the 1 gb version and is pratically inferior to the pi 2: capability of 4k and x265 videos doesn't mean is ...the most powerful device around.
Installed android marshmallow, lags like hell! Netflix burns the cpu, Chrome freezes everything and every time i lanch it, the pine restarts in a endless loop. Sometimes Kodi goes to complete freeze, sometimes it won't. I was among the first ones to buy this kiddy bargain and I'm throwing it to garbage. Avoid it!

The company totally failed to build a decent community by at least regularly updating OS releases and news.
Time to find a fixed function for the board that it ...can perform on an old OS until it is thoroughly obsolete. I'm thinking a network role, maybe using uSD for DNS and file caching.
But I can understand the guys not having been prepared to be in a major support role having perhaps not thought through the consequences of selling a hardware product.
I hope they have learnt from this exercise and apply that in future endeavours rather than giving up completely.

Very fun SBC Development Board, it could be used for many projects, I got a PineA64+, 2GB ram, 64 GB Pine Micro SD, WIFI/BT, LCD Touchscreen, USB HDD 80GB SATA,... 4 Port USB Hub with HDD power, mouse and speaker power, I have a tablet/screen case from C4Labs which is a awesome case but a little tricky to assemble, but allot of fun and easier them making my own from scratch, i have it running Android 5.1.1 for LCD so i can use it as a tablet or as a desktop pc on a tv with HDMI, I haven't been able to get a battery yet because i live in Australia, the android system usually works pretty good but does have many small issues, I cant wait to see what the future holds for this powerful little board See More

This is a chance to run SuSE or Ubuntu very cheaply. The Pinebook will be disruptive: the people who build this are clearly thinking of more than the education ...hacking market the Pi fills quite nicely.

Gettting a kit to play with. This would meet almost all my computing needs -- the only question is could it run darktable.

I bought it and got it very soon!
And made it assembled and have Android 5.1.1 LCD panel version worked perfectly in one day.
It is very suitable for pad fw and sw development!

Good specs doesn't mean a good computer
What make one good is
...
- Software
- Quality
- Support
- Documentation
- A strong Community

None of these could it deliver
Trust me There are better boards out there
I'm an sorry to say but
there is noway it lives up too an Raspberry pi
and i can't have high hopes it ever will

I have yet to find a purpose for this thing
that is supported, does work and is stable enough

Even if you can ignore the severely delayed "product," they still don't answer support emails, gigabit Ethernet doesn't work, boards that aren't even part of th...e large dead on arrival batch are dying right after minimal use, I've been waiting about 2 months for my case and got blocked from messaging them after very few attempts. The OS support is garbage. The ABS cases apparently doesn't even have an SD card slot. You have to unscrew the entire thing to change your SD card. The cases are also reported to not close when packaged official peripherals are used. Every attempt I've made to ask for a refund let alone contact them at all has gone ignored. See More

This is the worst company I have ever encountered. After waiting for so long, I only received only partial of the items I ordered. Email to the person in-charge... (Lucy) takes forever to reply. The worst part is that, the company promised me that they will investigate and look into the matter, and after a long time, they finally claimed that they have full delivered the items to me. Looks like I will not be receiving the rest of the items I ordered.

Do not buy from them, they will not honor what they have pledged.

Was a nice intro into SBCs for me but no Linux support for hardware acceleration so, if you want to run Kodi or the like, you'll need to install Android or Remix OS

No response from emails or ticketing if anything goes bad. No support for bad hardware. I would have felt better about my life if I would have tossed a $100 b...ill down a sewer grate and saved the additional frustration and non-functional hardware. Raspberry Pi 3 is far superior and their support is unmatched. don't waste your time with these jokers just steal your money and laugh at you. See More

Don't give up team! Your product is perfect! We can make a lot of things with this machine, I really love it, actually I am making my own android tablet and it'...s working very well. But I have some suggestions for the next generation: offer longer cable option for the lcd screen, and integer a microphone and camera in option for another option LCD screen. And a antenna for the 4G network and finally a slot for a sim card. With all these options everybody or companies could fabric their own tablet even for industrial use or recreative use. We could simply convert an old industrial machine with very low cost and automatise it easyly. Thank you team for your great work! See More

As it's about 6 months later after our Kickstarter campaign, to date we've dispatched over 50,000 packages globally. It wasn't an easy task, as it was something we were definitely not expecting. We're not saying that there aren't issues, as there were address changes, packages being lost, missing parts, etc. As a small team, backed by crowdfunding on Kickstarter, we've gone a long way and we've definitely tried our best to catch up. To date, we've dispatched 90% of all of... the Kickstarter projects (Yes, we still owe you guys the ABS cases which are going out in a week) - rest are missing address information or phone numbers that we are following up 1 by 1. All but a few of the pre-order boards from our site, and we've now dispatched all of the orders placed in our store before 7/14/16 and working on orders placed after 7/14 which will go out by end of next week. We know it's been a huge ordeal for some people (depending on location) and with majority of the mass shipping done, we can now focus more on customer service and development.

In the last few months, based on the collaboration of many community members, we've been able to launch Debian GNU/Linux Jessie (7/1/16 Latest Image), openHAB based on Ubuntu Linux (4/15/16 Latest Image), Remix OS (Latest Image 07/18/16), Android image (7/11/16 Latest Image). Although bugs are still a given, please keep in mind, that this is a new community that's come together and over the next few months, software updates will continue to be released to fix bugs that arise.

PINE64 was not designed for just 1 any given project, but open for users to utilize its platform to achieve many projects - whether it's a media box, computer, file server, or IoT platform.

We're focused on clearing up mis-shipped items, missing items, and dead on arrival items. If you have questions regarding your shipment, please still direct them to shipping@pine64.com or please leave a comment below with your order number or send us a message. Although different teams handle different departments, we're still working around the clock to get everything sent out / replaced as required.

Hey guys, the last 3-4 weeks we've been cramming to get shipments out every day. We finally have less than 400 packages left from Kickstarter as of today and have already moved onto preorders and store purchases.

We've also increased our support staff to work on tracking down missed packages and damaged units.

Please please, do not email to every email address. We are currently down to 3-4 days on response times as we clear backwards and most recent messages as a lot of inq...uiries from before have already been resolved by delivered packages.

How to most efficiently get help:

Shipping/damaged inquiries for lost, damaged, or Untrackable packages: shipping@pine64.com

Technical support: support@pine64.com

Sales related: sales@pine64.com

Please make sure you submit it to the right email as we have different teams responding to different inquiries.

For fast technical solutions, please visit our forum at http://forum.pine64.org and resources at http://wiki.pine64.org

We know it has been a delay with the last few months but we've finally trained new staff, clearing up claims with the local post offices, and are moving forward clearing tickets daily.

With resources now assigned and trained, we're able to address and solve problems more efficiently.

Thank You.
