Most of our farmers, producers and artisans don't know what we do with the food they grow. And so Slow Food Manila thought of bringing the table to the farm! Let's break bread with them: have a banquet with the farmers, producers and artisans who grow your food! All you have to do is buy one ticket to get onboard Margarita Forés' Ark of Taste benefit lunch!
"On Board the Ark of Taste"
A benefit lunch with Chef Gaita Fores
Aug. 6, 11:30am-1pm
Chef Gaita will prepare dishes featuring local, indigenous, and heirloom ingredients.
PM us to buy tickets, sponsor a farmer and/or make a donation.

Message for President-elect Duterte: NO TO GMO
Imelda Schweighart of Puerto Princesa City was crowned this year’s Miss Philippines Earth on Saturday.
During the question-and-answer portion of the pageant, Schweighart was asked what she would ask from President-elect Rodrigo Duterte for her climate change advocacy....
The 21-year-old aspiring actress said: “My climate change advocacy is banning genetically modified organisms and genetically engineered seeds because I believe in natural food in order to feed our mind, body and soul. If we really want to feed our minds and become smarter, let’s support banning GMOs, President Duterte.”
We always enjoy our trip to the market especially during weekends. Unhurriedly, we get to talk to our suki vendors, farmers, and producers. It is our own version of retail therapy Today, we brought home an almost 5-kl sweet smelling and organically grown langka and papaya from Tanay, and pineapples and banana from Cavite.
Ikaw, what is in your bayong?
Happy weekend, Kapuso't Kapamilya!...
