Important Transportation Information for Areas Affected by Flooding
Hello Lansing School District families,
As the Lansing area battles against the forces of Mo...ther Nature with flooding issues, we have been modifying transportation needs to enable our students to attend school in the Lansing School District.
Several neighborhoods have been evacuated due to the recent flood and buses cannot go into evacuated areas. Dean Transportation and the Lansing School District have identified bus pick up and drop off hubs for Thursday, February 22, and Friday February 23, 2018. For a list of neighborhoods in Lansing that have been asked to evacuate, please visit https://www.lansingmi.gov
If your neighborhood has not been evacuated, your pick up/drop off location place and time will remain the same as normal.
The buses will be picking up students at these hubs and times below.
• Letts Community Center - 1220 W Kalamazoo St, Lansing, MI 48915.
• Foster Community Center - 200 N Foster Ave, Lansing, MI 48912.
• Gier Community Center - 2400 Hall St, Lansing, MI 48906. Lower parking lot.
• Southside Community Center - 5825 Wise Rd, Lansing, MI 48911. South parking lot.
• Gardner- 333 Dahlia Dr. Lansing, MI 48911. Southeast corner of the large parking lot.
Hub Pick up times:

PM drop off - Students will ride their everyday assigned buses to the hub locations. Dean will send individual bus route robo calls with estimated hub drop off times.
Monitors will be on the a.m. hub buses. EVERY student that is picked up at a hub will be given a wrist band with the hub location they need to be dropped off at the end of the day.
If you have questions or concerns, please call 517-319-8360.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Hope to see you there tomorrow, 1PM-5PM!! #❤️LSDShowcase

Good Morning. As a precaution and for the safety of our students, the Lansing School District is closing on Friday, February 9 due to the weather. Snow totals could be as high as 8 inches.
Evening activities are cancelled.
The approaching snow storm system will be monitored throughout the next few hours in order to be more certain about whether or not to call a snow day tomorrow. ...
We will notify our community as soon as we have better information as to the amount of the snowfall and when it will occur.
Please stay tuned to weather updates as the evening progresses and into early Friday morning.
Information will be posted on our Facebook page, Twitter, web site and robo calls will be made.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support.
