heads up: all of you guys making "lol shes a dude lol" jokes are literal, despicable human trash. this is not hyperbole and I am not exaggerating. you are not only bullying griner, who has had to endure with this for longer than any of you can ever imagine, you are indirectly bullying all of the youths across america who are questioning their gender identity. it's awful and immature. griner is a nationwide superstar in her sport and she has unreal talent and, more importantly, a great deal of courage for coming out of the closet in a world in which idiots like some of the people on espn dot com exist. play one on one with her and then hate her. hate her because you are jealous of her and her success and not because of who she is as a person. hate her because of who YOU are and not who SHE is. hate her because you know no better. or (and this is my recommendation) love her and embrace her and be proud of her. she is going to (and already has) changed the game both on and off the court, and that's more than the trash on this page can ever say.

@tyler: thats fine too even though its pretty confusing.

@william: yes, i know that she is a woman 100%. she identifies as a woman, therefore she is a woman. this might come as a shock to you. by the way, i handle my own arguments.

But ESPN is the one who did the interview. It's really the same as any straight person referencing their spouse in an interview. Yeah it's sports, but you still talk about your life in interviews. And ESPN is the one who wanted to do the interview.

I would have been surprised if she said she was straight.
