‪#‎Watch‬ our friend Les Stroud speak about his experience saving a whale with the crew of The M/V Farley Mowat during ‪#‎OpMilagro‬.
Gillnets indiscriminately trap all kinds of marine life including the critically endangered ‪#‎totoaba‬ fish, ‪#‎vaquita‬ porpoise and whales like the one you see in this ‪#‎video‬.

Les Stroud aka Survivorman, spoke to us about his two week mission with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. What he experienced on his last day was amazing.

We have been very busy retrieving several gillnets and illegal long lines from the ‪#‎Vaquita‬ Porpoise's Refuge.
We are so happy with the results of ‪#‎OpMilagro‬, proud of our hard working crew and our Direct Action supporters!
Everyday we are saving lives by releasing animals from these deadly traps or by removing illegal fishing gear before anything gets caught in it.

Conservation in Chaos in Costa Rica.

The continuing corruption in Costa Rica continues to kill more sharks. Costa Rica must respect International conservation law of sharks are going to survive in Costa Rican waters.

In politics, perception is everything. And at the nine-month mark, President Luis Guillermo Solís’ administration is taking a pounding in one of the areas that has long set Costa Rica apart from other nations in the region – environmental protection.

Captain Oona Layolle gave a presentation during a Press Conference, together with Mexican authorities, to bring awareness to the local community in the Gulf of California of the importance of protecting their very own ‪#‎vaquitamarina‬.
‪#‎SeaShepherd‬ has been working in partnership with the Mexican Government since November 2015 to patrol and remove illegal fishing gear from the vaquita's habitat. The vaquita porpoise is the most endangered cetacean in the world.
