Big Congratulations to Lisa Bird-Wilson of Saskatoon, for winning the RBC Emerging Arts Award at the 2018 Saskatchewan Arts Awards last night (Oct. 25) in Regina.
Lisa's collection of fiction, "Just Pretending", published in 2013 by Coteau Books, won four Saskatchewan Book Awards.
This year "Just Pretending" was chosen as the featured book for the One Book, One Province campaign to create a reading culture in Saskatchewan. Lisa has also recently joined the Coteau Books' board of directors.
A weekend of travelling for our writers! Jeanette Lynes will be in Westport, Ontario for the Writers Reading series tomorrow, and Sharon Butala will be in Toronto this Sunday for The Word On The Street Toronto! If you're in the area be sure to check these two out - they won't disappoint.
