Lukas, Mireia Diez Sánchez, Anya Silnova, Oldrich Plchot, and Johan Rohdin left for SCALE workshop at the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence at JHU (https://hltcoe.jhu.edu/research/scale/scale-2017/). The guys will work with the world's best speaker recognition (SR) researchers on the issues of robustness, DNN applications in SR and more. Have a good time in the US!
S. Umesh will come to Brno to give a lecture on Acoustic Modelling of low-resource Indian languages. S. Umesh is a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology โ Madras. His research interests are mainly in automatic speech recognition particularly in low-resource modelling and speaker normalization & adaptation. He has also been a visiting researcher at AT&T Laboratories, Cambridge University and RWTH-Aachen under the Humboldt Fellowship. He is currently leading a consortium of 12 Indian institutions to develop speech based systems in agricultural domain. His talk takes place on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 13:00 in room E105 - don't miss it!
