PRESS RELEASE:

Early Thursday morning, December 14, 2017 at 12:16 a.m., dispatch received a call from a male stating his 19 year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted at gunpoint in the 200 block of South Anderson Street near the railroad tracks in Angleton by a black male, approximately 5’7” with a muscular build wearing a black mask and hoodie. The suspect allegedly got into the victim’s car and displayed a black pistol. The suspect forced the victim to drive a short d...istance further south crossing the railroad tracks where he forced her out of the vehicle, removed his mask, and then sexually assaulted her. A thorough search was conducted by patrol officers with the assistance of Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies and the Angleton Fire Department who provided a thermal imaging device. Angleton Police Department Investigators were called to the scene to process for evidence and speak to the victim and any potential witnesses. The suspect was not located and remains at large and considered armed and dangerous. The victim did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, but she was transported to UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus. Please keep your vehicle doors locked when you are inside and be aware of your surroundings especially when you are stopped at intersections.
