A Message to Our Community

We want to acknowledge that the Oct. 3 City Council meeting was targeted by those wishing to spread hateful and hurtful speech. We express our deepest empathy to anyone who witnessed this display of bigotry and reaffirm our commitment to maintaining safe and welcoming environments for all who choose to call our community home.

We stand united against acts of intolerance of any kind toward the valued members of our community who together make us stro...nger. While we can’t prevent behavior of this kind from being repeated in the future, we will be doing our best to improve processes so that we remain prepared. We ask that you continue to participate in your local government on issues important to you and support one another during this time.
